I agree with this take and many of my fellow UGA fans are calling me bad names for it.
It also seems like the same fans who wanted Stetson benched to put JT Daniels back in, and the same fans who wanted Stetson to leave after the first NC so Beck could play, now are glad Beck is hurt because Gunner will be so much better. You know, those fans.

The thing is UGA does not need a QB to be a 3rd or higher round NFL draft pick to win most games. UGA has beaten the best, most talented teams in the nation on a regular basis with QBs that aren’t likely to make a NFL roster. All that is needed is a game manager. Carson Becks upside is marginally higher than Stockton’s or he wouldn’t have been starting….the drop off is razor thin. The addition of mobility negates that drop off, especially against a team that is untested and hasn’t seen the physical assault they are about to face in New Orleans. Beyond that is most likely Penn State, another team fully unprepared for the physicality UGA brings. Beyond that Ohio State, Oregon and Texas all present a physical match against UGA with Texas falling twice to the Dawgs. UGA is in a good spot.

I think Georgia wins, but I don't think it'll be that much of a blow out.
Georgia isn't as good this year as they have been in past years. They are actually ranked below Notre Dame in F+. I still think part of that is due to differences in schedule strengths and Georgia should win and is the better team.
But I don't think it's as automatic. I expect a somewhat close game.
I also don't think Beck is all that difficult to replace honestly, so I pretty much agree there.
