That shouldnt have been called either, penalties dont matter according to the OP.

It’s pretty simple.

Jayden Daniels was LSU’s only hope of staying in the game. Knocking him out of the game ended the game.

I don’t think LSU’s chances of winning the game were greater than 10% at that point. But after he went out, it dropped to practically zero.

Every single one said it was the right call and it wasn’t targeting.

it was by definition targeting. textbook. it doesn't affect the game saturday but you'd think they'd look out for player safety. just reinforces that bama can continue playing dirty without much repercussion.

Who said it wasn't reviewed? Daniels laid on the field for over five minutes.

Many of our fans showed their asses Saturday.

Bama whopped our front 7's arse and our Center had the yips. Even besides the penalties every snap seemed low and threw off the rhythm on quick passes and handoffs with reads. That leads to a 2 TD loss. Simple as that.

Exactly. Why can’t people understand this? They literally said the booth was reviewing this the whole time

They said they looked at it

There is absolutely no logic in this gripe. Don’t overthink this, all fanbases except one would simply be happy it was flagged. It did not contain the “hallmarks” of what they have originally been emphasizing with targeting: launching/ initiating contact at the player’s head.

More blatant was the fact that the defensive player made an effort to land on Daniels with full force of body weight.

Correct. This warranted the flag….which was thrown.

No need for any smoke clearing, even Ray Charles can see the issue.

If that was your son, how would you feel about that hit?

Exactly. Check this out this one where the REC refs didn't even call roughing the passer, much less targeting. It's ridiculous how Bama always gets the calls!

They are just trying to get through the levels of grief.

Some get stuck.

LSU was down by 14. Daniels was not coming back in regardless of whether targeting was called or not. Does not change the game at all.

I agree with this but LSU fans are rightly calling out the hypocrisy of the situation and ignoring how dirty of a player #15 is with repeated dirty hits as shown in evidence from other games.

The dirty play is obviously coached in to these players by Bama staff. Much of their success over the last 17 years can be attributed to injuring star players of their opponents.

currently so it was roughing but it was not targeting.
except the launch and except for leading w the crown and except for the hitting in the head or neck area.

I don’t give a shite. But it was targeting. I do care that our only hope is out for a bit as a result

I care more about the PI not called. The hands to face not called and the ridiculous hold on Perkins not called. Thise had some impact on the outcome.

Our D is laughable. Calls like that or no calls are pretty big when our O has zero margin for a miss

The call on 4th and 1 was an absolute head scratcher

I don't understand it, other than simply tossing up an excuse (which any fanbase would do).

1. There was a 15 yard penalty called
2. Wasn't JD5 the one who threw the interception? Lets not act like JD5 being in the game at that point guarantees LSU the win. JD5 is a fantastic player, but he doesn't play defense. Even if he stays in the game, and leads a scoring drive, LSU's defense still would have had to stop Bama's offense... which they couldn't do. Milroe was trucking their LBs. Let's call it what it was, an unfortunate injury on a 50/50 targeting call, and move on. Good game

Except this time I guess…when they threw the flag…on a hit that goes unflagged all the time.

Well, he's playing football for one, where getting hit is part of the game, especially for a QB.

If that was your son, how would you feel about his coach sending him back into the game immediately?

QB's should expect getting a helmet missile launched into their face and full bodyweight slamming them to the ground?

I would bet anything in the world that no QB expects this nowadays.
