LSU 31 aTm 17.

This has been my prediction all week. The game will be close up until the late 3rd when the running game really opens up. Mett guts them on two or three one or two big play-action passes. Jeremy Hill gets another big run and we pound out another.

JFF is going to be so active he will make the difference again, if the D holds LSU. JFF will make the offensive plays to get us to 30, if he doesn't get hurt.

I believe the LSU guys are going to be chasing him all night. He'll do good, unless he gets nicked. If he has to come out I don't know what the hell we do at that point.

Wow this is actual level headed logic which is something I don't see to often around here.

Haha thanks. I'm a diehard UGA fan but I try to watch as many other games as I can so I can talk about them and not be totally clueless. I can even take the red and black glasses off when I talk about the Dawgs when I want to (for instance, it hurts to say it but I think we lose by a few TDs to Fla next week)

I've seen both teams play multiple times. Wasn't impressed with LSU vs Auburn but was really impressed by the defense vs Florida that was on the field for 38 minutes and only gave up 14 points. Something clicked on the OL last week and it reminded me of LSU's line of years past, which is why I came to my conclusion.

A&M has a great offense when they get going and their pass rush is nasty, but in the second half of the Florida game, the Gators committed to the run and started to open up some big holes for Gillislee, and I think this game will play out very similar to that one. A&M is good and has a ton of potential to be great in this league (selling Texas recruits on playing in the SEC while staying in their home state will be their biggest advantage), but this team is fairly young in some key spots and isn't quite there yet. They'll learn from games like this

I must say you put thought into it. Thank you.

Here is my retort:
Florida game was game 1 for A&M. This ended up being good so we can use week 2 to start building. Everybody knows the ultimate would be a rematch in Atlanta, but we are realistic. Our schedule is a meat grinder. One game at a time. However, the only loss is game 1 so far...

We grow each game on offense. JFF gets better passing and managing the game each week. Our defense can only get better. I am confident we'll do okay, but give up chunks of yards. Until we bring in SEC style defense we are going to have to out-score.

out scoring your opponent is how you win, its kind of the definition of winning.

Big lake, have another beer my friend. You are correct. Let me describe...we have to sprint, not trott or gallup. Full speed NHRA race. We can't go low on points and have a high probability of victory.

Trust me, I'm not gonna be one of those "You're new in the SEC so LSU will kick your arse because you don't belong here." Not my style. I watch games and look at stats before I talk about it so I can at least have some background info before I go off spewing a bunch of shite around. I don't just look at a message board as a great place for trash talking. I like to post somewhat intelligence stuff and I like reading similar stuff. Learn new things every day like that.

I posted this on another thread, but I've been really impressed with Sumlin so far. I thought he was gonna bring his Houston playbook and hope it worked, but he's done a great job adapting to his personnel. That'll carry him and the program a long way in the SEC. Spurrier was always great at that. When he had Wuerffel, Florida was a pass happy team that would run just enough to keep you honest. Wuerrfel left, so Spurrier changed his style a bit and leaned on Fred Taylor the next season.

Like I said before, there is a ton of potential at aTm. We like to joke about your fanbase sometimes, but I lived in Texas for awhile when I was younger. A&M fans are very passionate about the program, and they've put some solid teams out in the past. A&M is in the most loaded high school football state in the country, and now they can sell Texas kids on staying at home AND playing in the SEC. There's a ton of potential for big time success there.

I understand that Florida was game one, but they had no film to use for preparation. Once they started to establish the run, it was tough sledding for aTm. LSU's line is better and they have several quality backs to rotate in and keep them fresh.

Dude, it's really cool. We can just chill and say yep, it's the SEC. A&M is a big name, but we owe a portion to SEC stigma and draw. Now schools would not hesitate to play A&M to have a comparison to the SEC. A&M benefits with a great schedule. Looks like we are already signing up ex BIG IX and SWC foes for OOC games. It's all really cool.

Something fun for A&M fans to think about. The Cotton Bowl likes to take SEC West teams because they generally sell more tickets because of the closer travel. I think you guys will play in the Cotton Bowl at the end of the season. There's a chance that Texas gets their shite together and ends up winning nine games, since WVU and Oklahoma are both off their schedule now. Jerry Jones would move heaven and earth to create a A&M/UT Cotton Bowl matchup, and there's a very real chance of that happening.

We haven't given up 30 points in 3 years but A&m is gonna do it? Please. You may win the game , but you aren't scoring 30+.

A lot will depend if the SCar/UW team shows up or the AU/UF team does. I honestly don't know and I really hope it's not a 'road' thing.

This just feels like one of those road games that LSU always seems to win. I know it didn't happen for you guys at Florida but it seems like the OL started clicking against Carolina. If they can maul that line for 200+ rushing, they can do it to aTm too.

If aTm wins, it'll be because of a Mettenberger turnover parade. If LSU wins, it'll be because they owned the time of possession and kept Manziel on the sideline.

The OL with 2 freshmen, I was shocked. Pleasantly so.

No I did when I was throwing out a possible scenario of a A&M/UT Cotton Bowl matchup

shite it could happen this year. Texas will be favored to win every game from here out except probably against Kansas State. Jerry Jones would move heaven and earth to make that matchup happen and I would definitely pull for aTm
