And only got a Clemson reject in the transfer portal. Going to be a long year for the Seminoles.

Norvell

Let’s not forget he was on the hot seat before last year because he does less with more.

Yesterday was just back to normal for him.

He's signed a qb in every class.

He was on the hot seat after a 10-3 season? You're making stuff up

When you decide to build your roster through 1 year free agency you are bound to have some ugly seasons, and that's how they have decided to build their program.

So why start a Clemson reject?

10-3 just maintained his status. Last year was a fluke and now we are back to normal. 63-3

This.

Jackie Sherrill's success at Miss St was predicated by using a lot of transfer players. One year when the transfers didn't work out, and it all fell apart.

Regardless of who he has on his roster, if DJU is the best they have it's going to be a LOOONG year. Amazing that he's the best Norvell has. But Tech also outrushed them by 100 yards, they have more problems than just QB.

All the qbs he signed must really suck.

How many chances is it going to take for people to understand that DJ dude sucks?

I am so glad we didn’t hire him and that is regardless of how DeBoer works out.

Norvell improved the roster, but yesterday was all his guys. Quitting the bowl game showed the real culture of that program.

There isn’t a ‘big time’ program with a more empty stadium than Doak Campbell after they’ve lost a game or two in September. The team just did what their fan base has done for their entire history.

Both lines for FSU were not good yesterday and got pushed around. Tech looked like the better team. It wasn’t some fluke weird upset. They were better. DJ U is mid at best. This is his third school and he was benched at his other two spots.

He decided to try the mercenary army route. The problem with that is, it can backfire.

This. Memphis could very well take them down in a few weeks. And it wouldn’t be that big of a surprise at this point.

I was stunned at how GTs lines (both sides) just dominated. Tech has some serious beasts on the OL and the overall Defense appears quick, aggressive and angry - like they should be. Not an ACC fan but might be paying a bit more attention over there this year.

This is all Jimbo's fault.

It was a very clean game. The recruiting rankings have a tendency to overrate some teams like FSU that are given the benefit of the doubt based on past success.

I watched the highlights and I'm trying to figure out if Tech is better than what people believe or is FSU just not as good as the rankings say they are?

I'm thinking this isn't the FSU team of the 90s.

Untrue, as Miami holds this distinction.
