SEC needs to adopt the NFL policies of not running the ball back to the line, it creates a BULL CRAP GAME with zero strategy. The NFL is the only game, sadly, currently worth watching.

Lets make the case for why 80s football was much better in the NFL than even today with all the protecting of QB's, sure, Chicago and the Giants had great defenses, but it was exciting because you never knew if the offense was going to score or L.T. was going to Sack the QB and go the other way, now (NFL is better than 5 years ago) the offenses get all the calls, no holding, the get to run rub routes, they can pass over the middle without getting decapitated, but back then it was a true MAN O MAN WAR. Its become sissy football, the NFL is getting better because pros adjust, college kids can't adjust, before they do they have graduated pretty much, plus they can not teach them defense, because of they stupid refs running the ball back the the line, they have to pretty much play base.

Watched for 50 years, have no watched since 2020.

Kirby Smart and Nick Saban first started the fake injuries back in 2012… or earlier. I found an old reference to injuries to slow down a HUHN offense..

“Another problem that arose from this game was the matter of injuries. There's no way to know for certain whether or not the injuries are legitimate, so we must make a conservative assumption. Damion Square went down to the ground after a long pass play from the Aggies, who were lining up to run a play as soon as the officials set the ball. Determining his level of injury is impossible as an outsider looking in, but it can't be argued that Square's possibly coincidental injury slowed down the Aggie offense to allow Nick Saban and Kirby Smart time to substitute on defense”

Y’all shouldn’t be starting something then complaining when someone uses your tactics to beat you. Look up the origin of the ‘Saban’ rule that allows defensive substitutions. Smart and Saban used fake injuries to slow down HUNH offenses that were exploiting the penchant for creating mismatches by situational substitutions.
