Yes, he was a grad transfer to OU. That was before the wild west.

However, he DID come back to OU to graduate with his Masters after doing on line work while with the Eagles.

He has been really good about repping both places.

We know what he did for the Tide in 3 seasons and we follow his pro career with that anticipation. But frankly, when he got to Philly, he was still in the same bad habits that hurt him in college. Quick to run or set any semblance of a rush and roll out to his right.

Before his big free agent year in 2021, the GM and coach were looking around for a replacement because they were still very much concerned about his fundamentals. They tried for Russell Wilson but couldn't get him. 2022 was the year Hurts reinvented himself and frankly, I was shocked to see so much improvement. Last season was a regression, but he had just signed a contract for over 50 million a year and that means a commitment to the bitter end. This season he has done better after they committed to a strong running game after their bye, but his passing stats are low and that again has always been the problem with Jalen.

He doesn't want to make mistakes and doesn't trust his eyes as instinctively as he should. He can certainly throw a beautiful deep ball, as always, but doesn't always see the check-down and throwing on time. He is who he is at this point but he's not, nor will he ever be, a gunslinger. Not in the DNA.

In some parallel universe there is a version of lsu football where saban never left and retired in Baton Rouge. And here you are in this one. Sucks to suck sometimes

Well, at least we know anyone can win a title at LSU. If Coach O and Les Miles can win here, anyone can

Not everyone can take the highest talent composite team in history and lose 4 games, including to a shite teams 2nd stringers

CBK will have more success than Husky Harsin

Well you guys should be excited about your impending title then bc you don’t have just anybody…….you got Brian mfing Kelly. Congratulations, it’ll be refreshing, too many blue bloods and elite programs winning the title these days.

We should make playoffs next year. Shame we had Daniels before the defense got fixed. I’m not convinced Nuss can get us over the hump but you never know.

The future is good, losing Underwood didn’t cause a massive exodus like everyone thought it would

It's weird to see Bammers constantly trashing Kelly when their coach had the same record with drastically more talent.

In 2023 Kelly had a Heisman-winning, #1 pick at QB and two first round WRs and lost to all but one team they played that had a pulse.

Kelly had a serious talent advantage over FSU and Ole Miss, and a huge QB advantage over Alabama, but still lost those games.

I think LSU fans are in a bit of denial if they're saying Alabama's first year QB should be the one worrying about making the use out of existing talent.
