It's gonna take more than an "insider" with "sources" on a LSU message board to scare me.
I'm not trying to scare you. I hope he stays as SEC football has NEVER been so much fun!
I just had an interesting conversation with two seperate people in the UW booster upper orbit who have been on the money in the past.
Bama people don't realize the strength of that Emmert-Tiny Dancer bond. Neither suffer fools, and they hold each other in HIGH professional regard.
It is really very SIMPLE:
*Tom Thumb is THE CURE to what ails Emmert.
*If Tom Thumb feels enough pain at Bama he has an easy out.

Does Saban seem happy to anyone here?
He wasn't exactly jovial when he was here at LSU, but he seems downright miserable in Gumpland.
He would be far happier at UW, out of the Gump Pressure Cooker which might be worse and more delusional than any in college football.

I'm not calling you a liar as I don't know you nor have I seen you post before. But you can see where I'm coming from when this is posted on a LSU board by a LSU fan?

I think the best part about him leaving for U-Dub would be the reactions of the Bama parents who decided to name their children after Tricky Nick in the wake of his hiring.
It would be like naming your children after Benedict Arnold in 1779.

without the massive expectations
No offense, but this sounds like the person that wants a handout. Winners in life do not want this. Nick Saban has been a winner to the highest level possible at all colleges he has coached for. Alabama has made a winner (10+ win season) out of EVERY coach that has been here in the last 30 years. Why would Saban be different? Never has a winning coach taken over this program.....until now. Even Stallings, who had more success than all coaches during his time except Spurrier, had a losing record coming in.

He left Michigan St. because he could not compete against Michigan.
C'mon, he won the Big 10 his last year there. When was the last time that happened. Could it possibly be that LSU was just a MUCH bigger opportunity?

He left LSU because he was afraid he would never have the NFL chance, even though he was very happy
Again, he left LSU for the same reason the guy leaves the really awesome girl for the Model with big boobs. He had to reach out, touch and give it a try.

Negative. He is driven by winning. Most of the top producers in any field are the same way. That is why they are paid the most but take on the most risk. You think Bill Gates was driven b/c he was afraid of not being able to pay the bills?

if this happens that will defiantly be something that i have to see. a good meltdown is hard to pass up esp when its the gumps. probably should start saving some of luckyles and the other sabanaide drinkers post for laughs if this does happen.

You mean somebody that calls saban "Tiny Dancer" might have a horse in the race?
Absolutely-I totally understand your skepticism.. And I have NO actual knowledge that Saban has ever contacted Emmert in any way. All I know is that UW boosters say this is what is going on. Put it in the "internet rumor category", that is what I would do if I were you.

yea i had always heard it was even before that. though to be honest i have enjoyed ttown every time i have been.

If the Little Scumbag ever says, "I am not gonna be the next coach at the University of Washington", the Gumpsters can kiss his arse goodbye!
As far as the difference between Tuscaloser and Seattle, I've been to both and I'd MUCH rather be in the Great NW!
And not only that, it's common knowledge how much he misses purple and gold!

I think you guys are all forgetting that there are 32 million little guaranteed reasons for him to stay. He loses them if he chooses to leave. I don't care who you are you don't walk away from that. Just my .02 RTR
Not only would Saban leave, but he'd take a pay cut to do it.
Saban's not happy at Bama and it's simply a matter of time before things implode there.

I could see saban going to U-Dub. He loved Don James, he loves mark Emmert, and he hates Alabama.
he'd have to beat out a pretty popular alum, though. Drawing a blank on the guy's name right now, but the former head coach of the Atlanta Falcons covets the UW job. If it came down to a choice between the two, I don't know if Emmert could persuade the powers-that-be to take Saban.

His stint in Miami and his departure from the NFL makes this statement a huge joke.
He failed in the NFL. Failed spectacularly actually. As a coach and a GM. He stabbed the organization in the back to take the big handout from a very desparate Bama that had been embarassed by Rich Rod. They were so desparate he as no buyout.

Nicky wants to get out of Gumpville before they realize Florida and LSU are the 800 pound gorillas in the SEC, and that isn’t going to change in the near future.
Nicky thought he could split off some of Louisiana's top talent, but that isn't going to happen.
By winning the BCS last year, Miles is now turning Texas into another rich recruiting source that he can't touch either.

Stallings was the closest thing to Coach Bryant Bama will ever have but the problem he had was that he played for aTm while the others played for BAMA. Coach Stallings was one of the juction boys.
Coach Stallings is a great person. He is probably as happy as he will ever be retired in Paris, TX.

Coach Croom also seems like a very good man. I pull for State except for when they play LSU becasue of him.

Dude everyone is motivated by fear. Just my observation but $aban just seemed way more pissed off and freaked out last year than ive seen in a while.
