The UT/A&M game this year will be the most emotional sporting matchup in modern college football history. Not because it’s an actual big game, A&M is going to suck this year. Because it’s a 100% holy war for them and the only people on this board that can fully understand the dynamic are bama/Auburn fans and possibly the egg bowlers (don’t know as much about that one but it doesn’t seem good). The Schlossnagle deal threw a ton of gas on the fire. That changed the dynamic. Aggies don’t even pretend anymore. Their fan base has a lot of psychos that actually believe UT is the devil. Like celebrate our deaths type of psychos.

I hate saying this. But I think that y’all are going to have more problems starting out in the SEC than you think(including aTm). Hell, we’ve had many games(even when we sucked) against UT and the final score has been a touchdown or less. Agree with you that aTm is pulling one of these on y’all right now:

How many of those players or coaches are affiliated with these teams? Silly comparison is silly.

Good one, bruh. Typically if demand is lower, the price is lower. Must’ve skipped basic economics on this one and clearly thought you had something clever here.

What am I missing with Indiana vs Northwestern?

My season tix at A&M are on the 50 yd line. No way in hell am I missing that game. Me and my kids are driving out from Georgia thanksgiving week.

Surprised that Georgia at Texas doesn't have more demand. I am guessing Formula One being in town that week means accommodations are scarce so Georgia fans deciding to watch it on TV.

Obligatory, Texas IS the devil.

Nah. Somehow misread it as UA/UT being less expensive.

I thought about editing it to make it a UGA joke, but I'll own my frickup and leave it.

Texas waltzes right in to the fearsome S E C and has FOUR of the most $$$ games in 2024?

Nothing has changed.

I thought we were destined to be nobody?

Y'all tickle me.

LSU claims to be a power house and doesn't even have the demand to be the list once.

Anyone who pays 275$ to watch northwestern and Indiana play football should be checked into a mental hospital

I don’t see your team anywhere on it either. Who’s riding cocktails exactly?

Agreed. But, it is going to be played at that temporary lakeside stadium with minimal seating so it makes a little more sense.

You know what? I’ll finish on this note - I think you’re all hat and no cattle and if Texas is going to be successful, they’re going to have to be able to play beaten up every week and have the personnel to do it and I don’t think you’re there yet and I don’t think your culture is nearly intense enough about football to get it done. Hell, we burn quarterbacks trucks when we lose to shitty teams and we still have accomplished nothing. You had Vince Young win a great game a long time ago and good runs back in the day. Otherwise, very underwhelming considering the unlimited resources that a flagship university as large and rich as Texas should have. But I’ll defer to other SEC fans - maybe they think you’ll come in and just dominate all of us. We look forward to playing you overrated fricking dildo-loving pussies every year.

And that's too bad because I've always kinda wanted Arky to get back in the dance.

But since you "accomplish nothing", your kind words fail to rile me up. You just don't matter.

Revenge game for Bama, renewed interest in Vols football. It should be great game.

It mattered to your fans when we beat you like a drum like we have recently. Your team and fans were laughably scared the last time you left Fayetteville(let’s not even talk about the Texas Bowl - y’all had what, 59 yards of total offense?). And speaking of accomplishments, yeah you can get us a bit. But I’m trying to think of any school that does less with more than Texas? Huge school, huge state with lots of talent, big brand and exposure, extremely wealthy and generous alumni base that is huge. What gives?

I think you are underestimating how much TEX and A&M alumni hate each other. The current students don't give a sheet (according to my kid who is about to start second year at A&M) because they haven't played each other in 13 or 14 years. But, the alumni from TEX and A&M that I work with, go to church with, am neighbors with absolutely hate each other. I have 2 people on my street that don't like each other for no other reason than one went TEX and one went to A&M. And they hate each other's school and fanbases that much.
