Who’s gonna tell this poster about the national title

Oh he won the national title at A&M? Which year?

This thread was a direct comparison to Jimbo at A&M vs Kelly at LSU.

Not sure why you are deflecting to the accomplishments of a different team. OP has a valid point about the comparison of kelly and jimbo.

I can't agrue with this. Kelly is owed a lot of money if he's fired. I can't see LSU letting it go as long as aTm did though.

Jimbo never won 10 games at A&M.

BK has never won less than 10 games at LSU.

I doubt he’s that intelligent, you’re talking about a University that fell for Les Mile’s sneaky sneaky lil lie about getting offered a coach somewhere else in order to get a raise. Let that sink in, another school wanting Les miles ??

I doubt this is true. Coaches do not negotiate their salaries, they have agents to that do it for them.

What do you mean by that

Look big dog I’m an ally and all, but I’ve never seen a Michigan player mime blowing his opponent’s head off with a shotgun.

Deflecting? By pointing out factually, Jimbo and Kiffin never won the west? Bk has been closer to a natty than kiffin or Jimbo (at A&M) ever were/have been.

If BK goes 8&4 this year, the agree will be more substantial. However as it stands, it’s a poor argument

I RESENT this attack on the religious heritage of the people of the great State of Louisiana! I’m outraged!

To suggest that Catholics are somehow more violent, and our children are less coachable. I just don’t have words.

You should apologize and seek absolution!

Why? Because a buyout like that at LSU has political implications it doesn’t have at A&M.

To be fair, if you're talking about Arkansas and Les being "in talks" that was orchestrated by both Arkansas admin and Les's agent, with Les's blessing. Basically both sides came to an agreement - Arkansas would leak interest in hiring Miles so he'd get a raise and extension at LSU, because Arkansas wanted LSU to be locked into Les for years. Both sides won.

This is a story that didn't get nearly enough attention at the time, but it truly was some shifty maneuvering

From an outside perspective, LSU keeps wanting to get medium coaches and make them elite. Just go hire a real elite coach and be done with it. Their last 3 have been just, eh. I think on Kelly they thought because he was a ND, that made him elite. Not even close.
