Even as a Vols fan, I can’t be mad at him. Don’t want him pimping a homer? Don’t give one up.
And let’s be honest. There is a whole roster of UT players that would do the same thing. You hit a bomb like that to win a game…you deserve to pimp walk it.

Imo you never show up the other team when there is more baseball to play. So unless it is a walk off in the final game of the CWS, you put your head down and run around the bases with some pace, not a slow fricking trot.
Then you can celebrate and go nuts. You get 12 hours and then it's time to get to work for next season.

Could not agree more. You hit a bomb like that in that situation, do your thing. Do some shite like that in the 3rd inning and you may not walk out the batter's box at the next AB.

Ni e to read something that a real baseball fan wrote. So true. Vol players would had walk3d it off too. It’s baseball. What’s lost in all this is what a game.

I think a lot of players would have acted the same way ending THAT particular game like that.
I wasn’t there but it sounded about the loudest it’s ever been on the broadcast. And the stadium wasn’t full.
We may have blown our wad last night, who knows. But a lot of fans thought we might get swept coming into this series.
