And neither one have played a tough schedule. They would have 3+ losses in the SEC easily

Why stop there?

LSU has more wins vs ranked teams than PSU, Indiana, Texas, Clemson, Miami, SMU and Boise State combined. And all of them are ranked in the top 12.

it is. But the reality is any team with a ranked win can be slid into LSU's spot.

Vandy, OU, UF, Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas... they all qualify.

Yup. You can make the playoffs by playing the easiest schedule. Miami has proved to be garbage weekly, but they will still make the playoffs
You get punished by playing tough teams and losing

LSU lost to Southern Cal. Who has one of the worst records in the Big Ten.

LSU has the same number of losses to unranked teams as PSU, Indiana, Texas, Clemson, and Miami combined

It’s not even about that. Those two schools avoided all the good teams in their own conference, except one, and both lost that game. Their best win collectively was over 6-5 Minnesota

Ole Miss and Alabama have losses against teams with 1 and 2 wins in the SEC. Its been a weird season

The 12 team playoff has hurt the SEC. It may be better to be a big dog in a weak conference then fight the war of attrition in SEC

Texas and Tennessee have 7 common opponents..

Both have played 6 so far..

Texas 5-1 +97 (+16.2 per game)
Tennessee 4-2 +26 (+4.3 per game)

Texas has a 11.9 ppg advantage.

Tennessee has a ranked win.
Texas does not.

Ranked wins don’t tell the whole story.

No maybe about it. That’s 100% the case. The committee is ranking based on record, not strength of record, quality wins/losses, etc

LSU has an equal or better winning percentage in the B1G than 2/3rds of the teams in the B1G. Including the team that beat them.
