I obviously didn't mean that an Alabama fan said that literally, but you must of not read the thread if you don't think most Alabama fans hinted AJ will have the better season. "Aj>Mett, I like qb's with mobility, Mett has no mobility, etc." are some of the things in this thread and I honestly don't care. If I were in Alabama's shoes, I would take proven Aj over Mett every time.

BUT, as a LSU fan, I rather take my chances with Mett. The Alabama fans getting their panties in a wad over LSU fans not wanting Aj are hilarious.

Kind of like Alabama fans clamoring for the benching of Brodie Croyle, John Parker Wilson, Greg McElroy, and thinking that Phillip Sims should get more reps after Bama's first game? You guys are trying to troll LSU without realizing that you invented the game you accuse their fans of doing.

I can't believe anyone would be so stupid to not want a quartered back that was 1-1 against its biggest threat for a division title, threw for no touchdowns against them, 16 touchdowns overall, and had never had as much success as Clint Moseley had against the LSU defense. What gives, fellas?

No.

McC is a good college QB, but definitely a "role player" type QB, which is all Alabama needed last year.

LSU needs decent QB play and very good play calling against elite defenses, and a QB that doesn't get rattled very easily.

I'd take ZMett (for now), but I checked with Captain Obvious and he says the jury is still out.

This seems like a good point you make. However, Alabama and LSU are different kinds of teams.

LSU is more a hybrid of Fla and Ala. If you put McC in at QB at LSU, I don't think he does one bit better than JJ or JL.

One thing to consider... how many TD passes did McC throw in 2 games against LSU? Same as JL and JJ last year against Alabama.

People are taking too much offense on both sides, and really, we're talking about 2 different teams and 2 different play callers.

I just can't get over the hypocrisy of Bama fans. Before last year started, almost every Bama was saying how AJ would be an upgrade over a senior qb with a title. Now that LSU fans are saying the same thing about Mett, it's dumb. They say," of Mett was a good qb he would have beaten out JJ/Lee". They simply deny that every coach chooses experience over Talent at the qb position. Even Saban. We have more than one example of Saban choosing exp over talent at the qb position. Also, it's not like AJ lot the world on fire. He basically had the same stats as JJ did in 09 and many LSU fans wante JJ benched for it. I'm sorry LSU fans would rather have a 6'5 250 lb rocket armed qb over a qb who was his teams weak link. He is also a douch. Get over it. AJ has proved nothing except that he is avg and won't lose the game for you( although his shitty game on nov.5th hurt his team tremendously, yes outside of his dump passes to TRich he had less than 50% compl and 115 yards with a very costly int that led to our second fg).

Does not even compare to LSU fans' mutinous meltdowns.

I love how one of yalls recurring arguments is discrediting your own team's awesome defense.

No one is saying that he is not going to be an upgrade. I think everyone probably expects that. That does not mean he is going to be really good.

LOL at ZM having a "rocket arm". I don't even think his arm is that much stronger than AJ's, if at all.

Yeah, AJ is a douche, but at least he does not have a sexual harassment charge on his record.

Also, you are probably the only person that actually believes that AJ is a "weak link" on our team. Are you really that dumb? Wow. Yeah, he has not proven anything. MVP in the NC against one of the best SEC defenses in the past decade is nothing.

Link to the proof you have to back up your claim that ZM's arm is much stronger than AJ's? I'll wait.

Last year I would have traded J for any other QB in the NCAA. Even backups.

This year I wouldn't trade Mett for anyone. I think he's going to be fantastic.

he better work on his checkdowns a whole lot. He seems to have a problem with staring down his WRs.

You either aren't understanding the argument, don't understand what discredit means, or both.

You are using the fact that AJ had no TDs against LSU's D last season as a basis for saying that he is mediocre. By saying this, you are taking away credit from your own great defense. I know it is a mind-grappling thing to grasp, but I know you are trying.

I love all these absolutely pointless questions that we think we have to answer to pass time until football season starts.
