Oklahoma Football Schedule 2024

Aug. 31 vs. Temple - W
Sept. 7 vs. Houston - W
Sept. 14 vs. Tulane - W
Sept. 21 vs. Tennessee - W
Sept. 28 at Auburn - W
Oct. 5 Idle
Oct. 12 vs. Texas (Dallas) - L
Oct. 19 vs. South Carolina - W
Oct. 26 at Ole Miss - L
Nov. 2 vs. Maine - W
Nov. 9 at Missouri - L
Nov. 16 Idle
Nov. 23 vs. Alabama - L
Nov. 30 at LSU - L

The Sooners are going 7-5.

Damn Oklahoma, y'all are better than that. I do think the RRR is a winable game along with Ole Miss and Mizzou. So I could see you doing better than 7 wins for sure. But I can also see the Vols knocking you off if you aren't on your game when they come ot town in September. Also watch out for Freeze right after that Tennessee game.

I would swap the UTs around. OU can beat Texas, they have proven that year after year. Tenn is going to be hard, Heupel is a much better coach than Sark.

So you feel they beat UT but lose to both ole miss and mizzou? Ouch.

I can see them going 9-3 with losses at Ole Miss, at Missouri, and vs Alabama.

I see Oklahoma as one of the question mark teams this year. They could go 6-6 or 11-1.

You could certainly be right about that. Tennessee is their first ever SEC game and in Norman, so I am thinking the Sooners are going to be jacked for this game. Of course I remember Mizzou being jacked about Georgia coming into COMO for their 1st ever SEC game and it didn't help. So what do I know.

Just because it is their first ever SEC game and also in Norman. Remember Smokeyone, I am wrong a lot.

The red river shootout can go either way regardless of how each team is doing that year, similar to how the Iron Bowl has gone Auburn's way in the past.

They have a really rough schedule even with 4 guaranteed wins on the schedule. 6-6 is their floor but I don’t see them going much better than 8-4 at best based on how they were last year and how they played in the spring game. It’s going to be a rough transition to the SEC for them, it hit at a bad time

I seriously doubt that.

Oklahoma could be better than some expect, but that OL gives me pause. Doesn't matter how good the WR are if the QB is always on his back.

Not much, apparently.

Mizzou is not Oklahoma.

Oklahoma is 67 - 24 - 5 against Mizzou, so please don't ever use that comp again.

Looking forward to the game vs Tennessee and Oklahoma legend Josh Heupel. It should be a great one, win or lose.

The biggest similarity between Bama / Auburn and OU / TX is this:

Alabama has won 5 of the last 6.

Oklahoma has won 5 of the last 6.

Oklahoma has a lot of talented dudes, but teams with inexperienced QBs playing behind inexperienced O-lines tend to have a lot of ups & downs. 8 wins would be a good season for the Sooners.

If any team deserved to sneak into the Playoff at 9-3 it would probably be Oklahoma with their schedule. They'd need to be close losses and to team's that do make it to the SECCG/CFB Playoff.

When I first saw the schedule I came up with 6-6.

But there are wild cards in the Sooner deck that could change things a lot.

The synopsis on OU is D should be stout and no one knows how the O-line is going to hold up.

ou's defense will keep them in most games. They will be pretty experienced on that side of the ball. If their O gets it together (and they got some talent), they will be a tough game for anyone they play.

Yeah, about that schedule. Can anyone off the top of their head (no google) name Maine's mascot? They probably put helmets on their rugby team.

Damn straight he is. Sark needs an army of 5 stars to even compete.

Heupel does more with less than any other coach in football.

Now that scholly limitations are done he's going to have plenty of talent to play with finally.
