No kidding, it's like people have never watched college baseball before.
You act like this is unlikely or something. I bet 99% of America has never watched a college baseball game.

I get it

99.9999% of America also don't post on sports message boards.

I feel pretty confident I am close with that estimate.
1% of America is a little over 3 million people.
The highest rated college world series ever was the 2011 series that had 2,233,000 viewers.
So that means there would have to be another 800,000 people who watched a game but don't follow the sport enough to watch the championship. That seems like a stretch.

True, but that doesn't necessarily mean that there is overlap.

So you're saying that 99% of people that post on an SEC specific message board have not watched a college baseball game, more specifically the people complaining about an LSU superstition? Please stop while you're behind

Wait what? So in 1 game (albeit the championship game) ratings almost prove you wrong and you think that someone proves you right about the number of people to ever watch college baseball?

No I clearly said 99% of America. I was just saying you don't have any evidence that ties "posts on a sports message board" with "has seen a college baseball game." I bet more than 50% of people here have seen a college baseball game but not 100%.

It didn't almost prove me wrong. 800,000 people is a large gap of people.
And that was the peak rated game mind you, not just last year's or something.

I know what you said, and what you said is irrelevant to people that post on this forum

Not when 3 times that watch 1 game in 1 year. Yeah i'd safe to say you are wrong about 1% although i understand the point you are making.
It's a point, however, that it's really worth a damn to be honest.
