Great draw for Pedo St and Bama in that draw.

Pretty much saying that 'Bama is a lock no matter what happens next weekend.

The current ranking a won’t be the same next week. Either Texas or UGA will have a different seed.

It’s decent logic, but it’s not really consistent. tOSU is 1-1 against top 25 opponents, and just got embarrassed by a bad Michigan team yet only fell 4 spots to 6.

I'll say it:
Should probably be:
quote:
8. SMU 11-1
9. Indiana 11-1
10. Boise St. 11-1
Should probably be:

18. SMU 11-1

This is irrelevant to my point. If both teams are anywhere on the bracket, there's a chance of them playing a third time. Do you know how brackets work?

Miami shouldn’t be above Ole Miss or South Carolina

Ohio State has 2 wins against 2 11-1 teams. Where are you only getting 1 top 25 win?

The chairmen straight up gave everyone the formula they used.
Ranked wins
Wins against .500 teams.

I completely forgot Indiana was ranked (they shouldn’t be).

Can’t have a playoff without Bama. Wouldn’t be legitimate.

Now I’m honestly just surprised you’re just now figuring this out… Do you know how brackets work?
I thought you were referencing tonight’s layout which has Georgia playing Texas in the quarter finals. I guess I gave you too much credit.

Exactly. There is no rhyme or reason. They just decide what matchups they want and then pull their reasoning out of a hat.
Had that happened to Tennessee they would have fallen out of the top 12 altogether.

Yep they pulled that out of a hat. That's not what they used last week. It changes from week to week, depending on what matchups they want.

Georgia fall below Tennessee (and Ohio State) with a loss.
Georgia will not fall below a team they skullfricked. The SECC will get a bye and the loser will host a game.
