At this point it's like shooting fish in a barrel, I guess. But man, this is brutal.

With Nico Iamaleava joining UCLA, everybody loses

Quotes for those of us who have read too many LA Times articles because of Nico?

This is a disappointing outfit desperately in need of a field leader, a staunch huddle general who can command loyalty and model integrity and win the battles.

So what do they do?

They hire a deserter.

...

They hire a kid who just quit on one of the country’s top programs, who fled during the worst possible time because his monetary demands weren’t met, and who was booted out before he changed his mind.

...

Few schools felt they could trust him with their most valuable possession, but the Bruins threw him the keys.

...

Iamaleava lost. But so did UCLA.

...

Tennessee quickly responded, unofficially becoming college football’s highest profile firing

Iamaleava quit, then he was canned, and rightfully so

And the coup de grace

College sports has also become a mercenary mosh pit, and today UCLA football and Nico Iamaleava are rolling around in the filth, both making big money, both noticeably poorer.

Holy shite. And they probably thought Tennessee fans were bad before reading that.

Actually our prison-orange clad brethren were the only folk who didn't get impaled by that article.

I couldn't agree more with the author. And I will be rooting for Aguilar to succeed this year. The kid has earned it.

And the tampering charges for 10RC with Hoover and Altmeyer are the icing on top

The state of college football is a shite show.
I applaud Tenn for telling Nico to hit the bricks.
Nobody should've picked him up to send a message that this sort of thing won't be tolerated.

I knew before clicking the link who wrote that. Plaschke is brutal. Miss him on the OG days of Around The Horn on ESPN with Woody Paige, Bob Ryan and Jay Mariotti

That is a good article. Almost even-handed in many ways.

He will crash and burn in DeShaun Foster's dumpster fire of a program. I bet he hits the portal again after this coming season.

I couldn't really find anything to disagree with.

It's kinda like dating Lorena Bobbitt after she got divorced. Good luck!

Can't wait to hear Foster speak on Nico at B1G media days.

I loved DeShaun Foster from back in his playing days in Carolina. He is really starting to show his arse here, though.

UCLA is noticeably poorer? They jumped ship to the B1G, which has a better contract than the SEC. (Hey to SEC Commish)

If you'd taken 2 minutes to read the article you'd understand what was meant by what you quoted.
