I figured both Vandy fans on here would appreciate this information.

Tracy Rocker's son, for the Auburn fans, too.

I sometimes wonder what it's like to be 6'5" and have a Howitzer for a right arm.

Not to mention the overall pedigree from a father that has brought you up around professional sports. Must be nice.

I'm sure he has worked his arse off to get to this point. Best of luck to him. He was dominant at Vandy.

The last few outings for Texas in the minors, he has been absolutely FILTHY! He definitely has put in the work to get where he is tonight.

He seriously needs to not suck! As bad as this team has been off and on all season, (I know, injuries) they havent quit, and they could use a consistent healthy young pitcher! Would work wonders for this team!

The Rangers have been snake bit this year, but there is a silver lining that they have been able to get some young arms called up and pitching in crucial situations. They've all done fairly well in their job interviews for 2025. Future is bright in Arlington.

He’s put up some strong numbers in the minors.

What the hell has happened to Leiter though.

I'm sure his 90 mph fastball will get rocked just like it did in college.

He's actually done decent in the majors lately. He's only got like 4-5 starts under his belt. They like him to be solidly in the rotation next year.

Rocker becoming the first player of Indian descent to appear in the Majors.

Rocker’s father, Tracy, is among the family and friends expected to be in attendance in Seattle on Thursday for Rocker’s debut.

I’ll definitely be watching. He’s had a long road since Vanderbilt. I really hope he does well tonight and has a solid MLB career.

Rocker looked nasty. Only made one “mistake” to Turner, but he threw it down the middle because the umpire wouldn’t give him the edges. His breaking ball is elite (looked like Kerry Wood’s), he just has to be able to throw it for a strike when needed.

I’m very excited for his future. He has a quiet confidence on the bump and makes 98 look easy with a razor sharp breaking ball. What’s not to love?

ETA: the Rangers had 4 SEC guys on the field tonight… Rocker, Langford, Smith and Lowe.

What is important is this: Rocker threw strikes, stayed composed when he ran into early trouble, showed a real swing-and-miss offering and an ability to pitch even when his fastball wasn’t at its peak. The first tenet of the Rangers’ pitching mantra is get ahead. He threw first-pitch strikes to 10 of the first 13 hitters he faced. That
