If he had simply taken points when he could and taken a knee before half - huge points swing and Ole Miss wins the game without difficulty - the Ole Miss players ought to revolt

You could also argue that he put his faith in his players and they failed him. If they make the FG, don't drop a 80 yard TD, and pass block better then they win by multiple scores.

Kiffin didn't make the best WR in the country drop a wide open TD pass or our kicker shank a 32 yarder.

It appeared to be a collective group effort of shitting the bed.

I guess you can make the argument but he should have lost faith when his player dropped a TD pass in the first series - It's not about "faith" in players - it's about in-game coaching - you take points when you can in games like that one - and certainly by half he should have known that points were hard to come by in that game -

No - but he did make decision that caused a 9 point swing during the game

He really did lose that game for them.

Awful decision making.

He had nothing to do with the dropped TD pass and missed FG, both of which would've won the game for the Rebs.

In fact, it was his coaching which got the Rebels in those positions to begin with.

What about the dropped TD pass early in the game?

Thanks for making my point - that's why you take the points when you can get them!

That was his best player and he has seen him make that catch 100 times. You can't bail on your players after 1 mistake.

He moved the ball almost at will in the first half and left at least 13 points on the field between dropped ball, Missed FG, and going for it on 4th. I bet he thought that the floodgates would open and they would break through. I also don't think he made any overly aggressive moves in the second half that cost them points. Our defense just made adjustments and shut them down.

no way, him trying to go down the field was the right call...just bad luck.

34 seconds left and he has a FG kicker with a strong leg...just have to advance 35 yards for a FG attempt. He isn't running some run-oriented dinosaur offense. His teams can move down the field pretty quickly.

Hs high powered offense kept getting stopped in the red zone or close to the red zone - OM had 17 points to show for all of that yardage - you take the points when you can get em - he gave LSU 3 before half
