Also draw a circle of 150 miles from the center of town. See what that area is like.
That's a pretty big circle.

Two hour drive to a type of civilization, lake or beach. In AUs case you have Atlanta, Birmingham, Lake Martin and a little longer drive to the Gulf coast.
What would other schools show?
Remember, location, location, location.

The city of Auburn has been on many lists of the Top 100 places live in the country.
You do realize that Oxford is consistently on those lists and also consistently ranks amongst the very best small college towns in the country.

In Auburn's case it isn't limited to college towns.

Oxford is lovely. Not sure why this has gone off the rails.

Most college towns in the South are great. But you judge small towns by what is close to the town.

For recruiting, yes. Definitely could be a helluva lot worse.
Close drive home for a lot of prospects.

Auburn, AL to Atlanta - 1 hour 51 minutes
Auburn, AL to Birmingham - 2 hours 16 minutes
Auburn, AL to Lake Martin - 55 minutes
So yeah, it takes about 2 hours to get to any type of civilization from Auburn.
Let's check in with Oxford....
Oxford, MS to Memphis - 1 hour 20 minutes
Oxford, MS to Sardis Lake - 20 minutes
Sardis Lake is a 98,520-acre reservoir.
Lake Martin is a 39,000-acre reservoir.
Congrats on having one additional ghetto of a city that is still further away than what's in Oxford. Also, congrats on such a small lake?

I remember those salad days, of a little 200,000 population, two-county metro, anchored by a quaint little university town....
And making lists, on lists, on lists.....
400,000 new residents later, eh..
Still a great place to live, but it ain't the same ball o' wax. At least we got us a Whole Foods and a Top Golf I guess.

Google it again based on milage:
Auburn, AL to Atlanta -108 miles
Auburn, AL to Birmingham - 109 miles
Auburn, AL to Lake Martin - 38 miles
I guess you source is slow or only drives in traffic jams.
PS-I have spent some time in Memphis. Even without a gun. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

And the Jerry Springer Show was popular as well. Didn’t make it good television.

Yes, display your ignorance by thinking Jackson is all of Mississippi.
Also he is already top ten paid coach. Number ten I believe. New offer will have him in top 5.

Lane Kiffin was already making 7.5M and was one of the ten highest paid coaches in football.
This smells like a "at least we tried" smokescreen for the fanbase.

It is, but the loophole is automatic rollover in contracts. It's a stupid law.
You can auto-roll them, but you can't guarantee the money. If Auburn is offering more than four years guaranteed, there's no comparison (and they're apparently offering a lot more than that).

Did you not google the milage? You claim the milage is retarded, yet you take the drive to the bank.

Agents doing work. The best info I've got is that the AD is doing deep background checks on the top candidates and no offer has been made. That could change at any time.
Your AD is not making this hire. So he can do all the little background checks he wants.

I think we are gonna do whatever it takes this time to get our guy. Ole Miss is having to make this offer so they can tell the fans that are gonna melt we did all we could. They can’t match the money, facilities, NIL, fan base and history. Watch Kiffins presser after the Bama game. If he is serious about all that he has to take the AU job.
