Ok so yall are basically corroborating Steve and no funny business went down beyond the norms other than helicopter parents.

Steve's post lines up with 80% or so of what HJJ posted in this thread(which was also posted verbatim on MSU message boards). Steve isn't going to publish that Lebby threatened to pull his brother's scholarship(assuming that's true).

There's definitely some funny business going on when the recruit is happy as hell to announce yet every one of his family members are pissed. Possible that the entire family is "MSU through and through". Possible something else behind closed doors was going on. Either way....somehow he was set straight.

The two other examples of something like this happening is Floyd Raven(who signed with TAMU) and the guy from Bama whose mother was wearing an Auburn shirt yet had no connection to the school(he picked Bama and she was pissed).

I'm willing to allow MSU fans to continue making cheese and ice cream so long as the gameday dress code involves collared shirts.

Well, you know what the reply to this comment is. I don't even have to type it out.

My parents would have never pulled that with me. I was too much like them. If you'd ever pulled that with me I would have said "okay, I just won't go anywhere."

I seriously am thankful that I had parents who would have backed my choice of schools, no matter where I wanted to go.

You say this because no one has ever offered you large sums of money and is the only pathway to your ultimate desired occupation (NFL)

Lots of schools give scholarships to less talented siblings to land players. They give less talented coaches jobs too. It’s even done in the pros.

And some people like having continuously losing seasons. Losing the last 4 out of 5 in the egg bowl. Congrats y’all won y’all’s Super Bowl and got Lockhart with the help of his parents and shitty of a player brother. Yall can’t even get the edge in baseball since we have the latest national championship. Y’all are forever little brother.

No, I would not.

Love nor money will not bend my will. I get that from my mother. There is a reason the epitaph on her tombstone reads:
"I DID IT MY WAY"

STFU. Some people aren't weak shite stains that are for sale for a few shekels.

I'm sure you trailer park dwellers would jump all over it, as you've never seen much money.

I just think the extortion angle is ridiculous. If he knew that his brother’s scholarship hung in the balance then why would he ever flip to begin with? How could we expect to hold anybody hostage in the age of transfer portal?

Exactly.
