John Daly II, the son of PGA pro John Daly, is Hooters' first NIL ambassador.

“I have seen my father’s great relationship with Hooters over the years, and I am proud to continue my family’s association with this iconic brand.”

I would have respected an NIL father/son Marlboro deal more, but this will do.

He looks like a clone of his dad

I wonder if he will carry on in his father's footsteps?

Hooter's struggling to hire younger gals and going with MILFS now? Soccer mom's don't look too bad.

I honestly don't think he's a huge prospect in the amateur golfing world, compared to his dad at least. He's currently the 621st ranked amateur golfer in the world. As a freshman this year, he's only competed in one event for the Arkansas golf team, finishing in 49th place in an early season tournament in October. If you compare Little John to his dad, big John (according to the Arkansas media guide) played for Arkansas from 1985-1988. He was an All-American for Arkansas in the 1986-1987 season, qualified for the US Open as an amateur in 1986, and finished T16th at the NCAA Championships in the 1985-1986 season. Big John's Wikipedia page says he was at Arkansas beginning in 1984, so maybe he redshirted, not sure. But comparing Little John to Big John, Little John has a lot of ground to make up.

Kinda surprised to hear Jr isn't competing in more events for Arkansas. His swing looks good from what I've seen. But he might be hard headed.

With luck he is a late bloomer. But it is hard to match his father, who, for all his faults, could be a superb golfer when he cared to.

Sadly he often didn't care to.

Absolutely. Daly was one of the more talented golfers on the planet. His hands were amazing. People always talked about how far he could hit it, but he had great touch around the green. He just didn't have the work ethic and had all his vices off the course that destroyed what could have been a HOF career.

Little Daly will play eventually.

We have a good golf team with some older guys that are better

We were at one time ranked #4 but think we are closer to 10 right now

I meant more of personality than golfing ability, but without the gold ability his personality won't matter I guess.

Little John isn’t drinking, smoking or doing enough coke and hookers to be good at golf like his dad. He should spend less time practicing and focus on the priorities

Isn’t he just a freshman? He’s got plenty of time to improve.

Little John is the complete opposite of JD when it comes to golf he loves to play and practices nonstop. If he doesn't have success it won't because he hasn't worked hard .

Are you saying Little Johns future pregnant Baby Mama won’t dive out of a moving golf cart and whip the hell out of a naked stripper at a charity golf tournament?
