re: Isn't it suspicious that Hugh Freeze became an Ole Miss coach after Michael Oher signed?

In. Seems to be the only way I'll get to see an Ole Miss event in that stadium anyway.
Its okay little fella. Pick yourself up. No need to do that. Schedule a home and home with Tulane.

Thanks to the extraordinary contributions of Sean Tuohy and his family to the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation’s Forward Together campaign, Ole Miss Athletics has renamed the Basketball Practice Facility the Tuohy Basketball Center, athletics director Ross Bjork announced Friday.
They should have thrown Ole Miss under the bus. Freeze recruited the kid to the private school, he did not allow his name in the movie. The movie is Hollywood, not related to real life.
The entire Michael Oher situation had NCAA violations written all over it.

Hope they didn't write that in permanent marker.

I forget, who was coaching the 3-8 Rebels when they signed the Army All American and his "mentor"?

everyone wants hugh out because they are so self righteous, it has nothing to do with him kicking arse on the field and recruiting. and without the ncaa cloud he would have had an even greater rise.
all of these threads breaking him down, and 'theres no way he survives'
we arent getting rid of him
who would replace him?
he has the most wins in his first 4 seasons of any ole miss coach in history
keep the fake self righteous shite to yourself

All his fake religious grand standing makes me want to puke.

which part are you laughing about?
he beat alabama a feat no one else in the conference has been able to accomplish in years.
and he recruited so well he got an ncaa investigation kickstarted out of bham and starkville

the religous aspect i dont prefer, but its not fake.
thats who he is and what he believes and he wont cower to others expectations.
so i give him respect for that he doesnt hide who he is and some families prefer that so it may and does help in recruiting.
he has made a huge commitment to the false hood if its fake, he has a christian foundation, trips to haiti, regular fca meetings for the team to attend if they wish, and he is the guest speaker/preacher at several churches in the area, guy is really in the con deep for this to be fake.

CHF in the SECWest : 5th, 5th, 3rd, 2nd, Dead arse Last
CHF has finished ahead of Merlin once. Let me explain that in layman's terms: Ole Miss has spent over $16 million on a coach who has finished ahead of MSU exactly 1 more time THAN YOU HAVE

The only thing that helps Freeze in recruiting are the bags of cash and all the free shite.
You're as delusional as anyone I've ever seen on this board. It's kind of sad.

How about the part where he cheated, then sends a tweet out saying if there are any allegations to email compliance. All while he's doing this he uses religion to make him look good.
He might have not known the NCAA rules, but being the saint he is he should definitely know about The 10 commandments.
Plain and simple he's a fricking scum bag who cheated to manipulate wins of young men playing football to benefit himself.

Well it's a gotdayum Hollywood movie - what did you expect?

"What if I told you, a school paid elite football recruits thousands of dollars to play for them, and couldn't even make the SEC championship game?"

Was his Christian beliefs so strong while he was hooking up with high school girls while coaching them?

Does anybody know how involved that family is with the program in reality?
The Tuohys have been big boosters for Ole Miss for a long time. They recruited him to Braircrest for that purpose. Oher wanted to go to UT before that. the notion that the mother picked him off the street as portrayed in the movie is ridiculous. He was a prospect all along, one that Ole Miss wanted.
Same thing with Greg Hardy, who also went to Braircrest
