Is it time yet?

It it time to start having the conversation that this years BaseVols team may actually be better than last years National Title team? I’m not saying they are going to repeat, as sometimes the best team does not always win in Baseball.
Baseball is possibly the hardest sport to repeat in, but if anyone can do it, it can be this Vols team. They are well balanced from top to bottom, deep at every position.
The biggest question for me coming to this season was the pitching. But it appears our pitching is legit as the talent level has increased this weekend. I think we can put to bed this team was only good because of the teams they were playing the first couple weeks. If the pitching holds continues it’d climb and improving, the Vols will be one of the final 8.
Everyone knows the amount of talent the Vols lost last year to the draft and yet all Vitello has done is jsut reload. If he makes it back to Omaha again this year, it will be his best coaching job so far considering everything that we lost and the amount of freshman we have starting.
We just need to sit back and enjoy the greatness of Vitello because coaches like him don’t come along very often. Last time we seen a coach win at this rate was Skip Bertman. Not saying he’s Skip, as we all know the run Skip went on in the 90’s. But the run that Vitello is on right now to start his career is amazing. No other coach has 200 wins the last 4 years in the country and he is not showing any signs of slowing down!
