You seem angry that you are perpetually stuck with Gus.
Knowing he’ll never win anything, but never be bad enough to actually fire

Never winning anything, must be how it feels to be a Mizzou fan in literally every sport.
Gus's floor is better than Mizzou'e average. Gus has won more than Mizzou has in the last 50 years

Good, perhaps?
He still hasn't learned to delegate, refuses to recognize his limitations, and unwilling to assume negative responsibility.*
* Would make a great coach for another team.

He’s tricky. Pulls off some big wins but he looks bad several times a year. I wouldn’t want him but he has done enough to not get fired.
I’ve never seen a coach more hot and cold than Malzahn. He fluctuates from genius to idiot and back and forth again every season, and sometimes in the same game. He’s likely as frustrating as Les Miles, just for different reasons.

Iron-ic Gus sealed the deal with an old high school play called "China" where the punter was right there in front of the home bench at wide out and a bunch of eye candy to make like a Chinese fire drill which was good enough to make Nick's boys fall apart with no timeouts left to save them.

No, he is usually good, but when he is bad he is really bad. Compare him to Saban, Nick has lost 3 times to Gus, but most are where a play or two sticks out. With Gus it an entire game plan. That is why he is on the hot seat so much.

He is a coach the shows flashes of being good to potentially great, but is absurdly inconsistent and way too stubborn to work on and fix his inadequacies in scheme and coaching.

Gus is average as a HC. IMHO Tuberville was better but it’s just my opinion. Gus resorts to trickery because he can’t really out-coach too many. However, I also think he can win some games against more talented teams and that has to count heavily as well. As fans, we always look at wins and losses as defining which coaches are good. IMO it’s more important to evaluate a coach by how many wins does he get against opponents where he has the less-talented team.

He is a good HC that is stubborn enough to lose games he can win each and every year. It should also be noted that he has been stuck with the hardest schedule over the last 6 seasons and its not really close. 2017 is the perfect season to see what Gus is...one win away from the playoffs but each the season 10-4
