Does it just depend on winning the Iron Bowl?

He out-thinks himself with play calling and has a pedestrian passing game.

His game management appears to be pretty damn good.

I don’t know why he struggles against most rivals and on the road in general.

He looks better than Saban without all the talented players Saban has....

He is like a recruit that has all the talent, but needs to set and learn the game. People forget he has only been a HC for 6-7 years and is only 54.

No.

Would you like to have him at Missouri?

He’s tricky. Pulls off some big wins but he looks bad several times a year. I wouldn’t want him but he has done enough to not get fired.

At times he is brilliant and other time he is clueless. The problem is you can see both within a two or three week period.

nah, the 2-5 record vs UGA and the most embarrassing AU loss this decade to UT pretty well account for our frustration

The Auburn program as a whole has been about as good as it has ever been and probably more stable than it's been over a 6 year period. Big picture, I think he's a good head football coach.
His playcalling and recruiting...especially on the offensive side has been very suspect at times.

if you know anything about X's and O's yes he is a good coach

just because he has lost to O 3 times does not make him a bad coach by any stretch like some morons would have you believe.

guy keeps winning some form of hardware every 4 years going back to 2010 with chizik which is all you can ask. miles could not even do that and was summarily fired. malzahns version of the power spread is light years better than any trash miles ran.

gus is one of the few coaches who has beaten saban multiple times! him, CUM, freeze and dabo.

Agreed, and sooo predictable at times

Remember that one second review at the end of the first half was so important bc he had already wasted all of his timeouts

I think that was more on the players. I think a couple of those time outs were to avoid delay of game penalties

Who could Mizzou get that's better, or even close?

He wrecked your GOAT coach and GOAT team head to head

Can be brilliant at times plus mediocre. Seems to bring his A game vs Bama. Not so much vs UGA and LSU

I think he is a good football coach. He is not a great football coach. My personal opinion is he has done enough to be given time. If he is fired or leaves I’m ok with that too.

Gus is an above average football coach. AU should do better, but they could and have done worse.
