It's is a big credit to Nick Saban that he realized it was time to go. I can understand sentimental Gumps unwillingness to accept reality. The coach that Bama was finally forced to accept was the one man who wasn't chickenshit.

Awe, natty #18 where the only thing wrong with this painting and the photo which inspired it -- was the lousy way LSU's administration handled Covid.

I'd want to erase that from my mind as well, if I were an LSU fan.

Well, Paying players is legal now. sabbens realized he couldn't buy players with under the table money anymore and keep them subservient to him so he quit.

Steve Spurrier never signed a player from Alabama. His quip about uat's scholarship value rang true until NIL became legal.

They had 30 or so players transfer out and lost at least 10 to eligibility. They still have a good nucleus, but the bricks will start flying when they loose 3 games. This could be a good thing since they'll have enough bricks to replace that dump they call a basketball arena.

LOL no, DeBoer is crap. While Saban ended his career with 6 straight years sans championship (and he’s never done that before), he was still better. DeBoer is a west coast pussy with only 4 years HC experience. He is in way over his head and they know it. That’s why they’re talking so much trash because they know the fall is going to be PAINFUL.

DeBoer will be gone in 2 years if the money train doesn’t stop in the mean time. Most of the boosters in Bama are also fair weather fans.

That's a keeper. Football season is going to be fun.

Saban was damn lucky to even make the playoffs his last year. They barely beat a bad auburn team. Saban's time was done. Best thing he did was retire before he started the long Bowden slide.

There’s literally 0 evidence to back this up. He’s won everywhere he’s gone. Doesn’t guarantee he’ll be great at Bama but he certainly isn’t bad.

Even if it doesn’t pan out - it’s hard to criticize the hire. He took Washington with 35th ranked recruiting classes to the national title for fricks sake.

And brought in a great transfer class and top 2 sighing class. The roster is still one of the best three in college football.

Coleman isn’t getting replaced. It’s getting renovated now. Breaking ground on a new practice facility for $58 million. It’s going to be attached to Coleman. So do the math. Alabama missed the boat on a new basketball arena. Construction costs are astronomical and now you have to have player contracts in the equation soon.

He had the balls the step down because he saw he wasn’t living up to his own standards. But luck? He was a 12-1 SEC champion. Who gives a shite that Alabama won late at Auburn.

Yes, its called 2023 and Milroe. Of course they did manage to set a new record for sacks because he held the ball too long due to low QB IQ.

Why is Milroe low IQ? He’s a smart kid. Tough competitor.

He was a first year starting QB. With a young OL. It got better as the year went on. Well until Michigan gave the the pass protection fits in the Rose Bowl.

Then that would mean Alabama had success in spite of him, not that they were lucky.
