Don't even want, or desire, the Centers for Disease Control. But, it is across the street.
UGA - $1.82 billion.
Athens put their "big-boy" panties on in relation to Georgia Tech and Emory. And asked for lottery money to stay ahead.
Georgia Tech is $2.97 billion.

Nobody said Emory wasn’t a better school than either Tech or UGA. And I doubt anyone on either side would argue that. I’m kinda sure this site isn’t about arguing about academics in the first place, and if you were smart, you’d know that, so maybe that makes you an idiot. So I’ll say to you, this….frick off, Emory Jackass! And frick Auburn too.

When it comes to Engineering, math, and physics, Emory doesn't even come close to us at Tech. Emory is an inflated private liberal arts college.

This gets into the AAU conversation that often comes up around the B10.
You have research institutions and non research institutions.
UGA is more education focused, Emory has areas where they are heavily funded for national research initiatives.
The best researchers often suck at teaching, but that is where for those specific areas of focus the best minds are usually found.
Personally, unless you are in one of the fields where Emory or Tech excel I’d send my kid to UGA for a variety of reasons, but the state of Georgia is now blessed to have three outstanding schools in state.
