I am glad that the SEC has stayed in the South.

It seems like the Big-10 doesn't know what it is doing right now because they are threatened by another Conference and wants to "expand" for reasons that make them "look good" at the moment.

I hope that the SEC justs understands that we have already gotten the prized jewels in Texas and Oklahoma. How can you possibly beat those guys?

No FSU, North Carolina, Virginia, Clemson, etc talk.

The SEC "made" the move. And, it was powerful like crashing a boulder on a calm lake.

We already achieved what we wanted, and stayed South.

All further applications to the SEC in the next 2 years or so, should be denied.

OU and tu are many things, but South ain’t one of them. Texas is it’s own world and Oklahoma is like Arkansas and Tennessee went on a cross country trip to California but the 1996 Ford Escort broke down just this side of OKC.

You seem old and uneducated.

They seem to be very Southern to me.

I like them.

You must be the person that hates every car that you don't "identify with" that parks in "muhhh neighborhood" for more time than your morning fiber supplement can handle.

Perhaps so. Please forgive me for offending you.

I just think that the SEC made a great decision compared to the BIG-10.

Texas and Oklahoma had nothing to do with regional pride. It was a business decision. And, when it makes sense, more like business decisions will be made.

Perhaps so.

But, could you contribute to the original topic without demeaning other posters?

That would be productive, wouldn't it.

Thanks!

I don't think that you understand the conundrum.

The SEC is secure.

I hope the SEC stays in the south too, but I think the conference will add at least 4 more. FSU, Clemson, and Miami are 3 likely candidates. Maybe NC State. I think NC and Virginia would opt for the big 10 or however many there are now.

I think the SEC should try to get the N carolina schools, Clemson, and FSU.

And Kansas also. for basketball.

With those additions, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Kansas would put the SEC near the top in basketball. SEC is already the premier football and baseball league.

And for the most part, other than mizzou and kansas, the league would still be southern and regional.

The only way to “beat” the addition of TX & OK insofar as value & prestige of the name brand added would be to add Notre Dame and USC

B1G is halfway there… I doubt they land the Irish though

I agree that the SEC is doing things correctly in adding schools that keep us at least somewhat regional

but I would be good with adding a VA and NC school

truth is, I’d love to see GA Tech back in the conference as well…

it's so funny to see Tennesseans claim that Tennessee is "more south than Arkansas"
