That doesn't even violate the NFL's 1 yard downfield zone.

Yeah, the center was clearly three yards past the neutral zone.

So where is it exactly you think the LOS in this picture? Heaven forbid it's not the blue line the center is standing on!

It is very funny that you started a thread telling the world that you don’t know the rules.

that's nothing. You should see this dude's takes on the Saints Board.

UGA had a TD brought back on one that was super close last night.

I wish UGA had O Linemen who could get downfield as fast as the one in question was supposed to have gotten downfield....Beck had the ball out on that play in about a millisecond and somehow a UGA lineman managed to get more than 3 yards downfield.

I believe the reason is because he wasn't downfield.

Watch it again. Nope.

Now, on the Milroe illegal forward pass, the whole OL was downfield

It happened to Bama 10 years ago. The voodoo went the other way this time.

You get 3 yards beyond LOS. And they usually aren't super strict on it. As long as the lineman isn't just charging down field.

Watching the play the Center was almost 2 yards downfield when the ball left the QBs hand...he was never 3 yards downfield. Even if had been they normally only call it when it is relevant, when someone on the defense could have possibly thought the center was an eligible receiver...there is no way anyone thought that on the play in question. It wasn't close to being anyone downfield and there is no holding....Auburn only has its coaching staff's decision to "rush" 2 and keep a spy in on 4th and goal from the 31. Auburn did exactly the one thing they could not do and that was run the most incredibly ill advised defensive play arguably in the history of college football.

Because they had SEC refs and not ACC. Gotta say, as bad as the SEC refs are, they are not the worst in the South. Stupid ACC called us for OL down field and if SVP was over it was like maybe a half yard. Hardly anyone calls that unless it's egregious.

The center had to cross the LOS to block the SPY standing there doing jumping jacks while preventing Milroe from trying to run it in from 31 yards out. smh.
