How much money does Ole Miss actually have

I don’t mean exact or approximate figures. Just comparatively. Are they in Bama LSU Auburn territory or more in Arkansas South Carolina Kentucky territory?
I always thought it was more of the later but lately it seems like they’re more in the upper tier of money and willingness to spend said money. I know they’re a well known brand and have students and alumni from all over.
Educate me. Not trolling just wondering.

Every SEC school has tons of money and rich alumni. It's just a play on how to spend it. I don't think, in actuality that LSU, Alabama, and Auburn have access to more money than South Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, etc. You're trying too hard to equate historical football success to financial assets. For example, Vanderbilt has far more money than most of the state schools but they choose to spend it elsewhere.

They have a good amount, but they are also purposely going portal heavy. I respect that they have a plan of attack and want to win now. I was all about building through recruiting classes, but after what happened to Texas A&M we all might have to reevaluate that stance. The best approach is probably doing both

They just had one of their best years ever and optimism for next year is probably at an all time high. That gets the money flowing.

Arkansas and Missouri both have a pipeline to the Walton fortune... which tends to be spent on civic improvement, regular student scholarships, and the arts.
Sure, it would be great if one of the Walton heirs decided to spend their pocket change on buying players for either or both schools, but that isn't how they choose to spend their vast wealth.
As you said... Vanderbilt has money out the wazoo. They just spend it in other areas.

Arkansas has a lot of big money but not all of them spend it on athletics
Alabama has people like Paul Bryant Jr who pretty much dump it all into athletics. He actually pays a significant portion of Sabans salary

Perfect storms happen all the time. Without Joe Burrow transferring, LSU doesn't win a natty in 2019. Without Jayden Daniels transferring, LSU loses a couple more games this past year.
Expectations exist for all schools, but the perfect storm doesn't always happen. It seems to me that that's what's going on with Ole Miss. Returning players, plus portal 'gets' to shore up defense particularly, plus a HC who has proven he can win regularly in the SEC=storm brewing.
With the 12-team playoff, there is plenty of room for the SEC to show out. Why resent SEC success in general? It's the best league around. And speaking of money, this isn't about that. Schools can spend a fortune on facilities and contract buyouts and still not get the job done. They still need the HC who can win. That's why Bama and Georgia created their ongoing perfect storms. Others in the SEC are welcome to get theirs going.

Ok. So what? Ole Miss has access to FedEx money. Arkansas has access to WalMart money. Kentucky has access to Kroger money. MSU has access to Mossy Oak money. Historical football success is not a full picture of one's ability to raise money.

It's the same with AU and Tim Cook. He comes to some games, but does not contribute to athletics. I think if he donates, it is all to academics. I am fine with that, it's his money.
