We were talking about it last night. The guy sitting next to me said he's written Mal about it several times. Said he's been in the TP waiting list for 5 years and would love the opportunity to buy those tickets.

That sucks. If the students don't sit there, it would definitely be more feasible to sell the tickets to people who want to buy season tickets. I'm sure it's easier said than done though.

One of those towns I thought I'd never visit, but my current employer is from that area and I've been there twice now. Really strange when life does that to ya.

I think that was the overflow student section. Students cram in in the lower bowl instead of moving up top like they are supposed to

This was explained to them multiple times in the thread that sunny daze stole the idea for this flame thread in.

Also I love coasties hypocrisy, all she does is pass here judgements on good and bad poster and food and bad threads, yet this flame thread does not get criticized by her. Interesting.

I've been to both stadiums, and Alabama's empties aren't even close to LSU's.

Couch fans exist at both schools. I go to games as often as I can, and I have season tickets. When I can't go to games, I either give them to someone who wants them or I donate them to the Wounded Warriors or to Children's Hospital.

I graduated from Alabama, have attended multiple, multiple games in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham back in the day. Now I have young kids and a family and don't get to go to the games as much.

I don't understand how this is a negative thing.

Teddy, I love a lot of things about the South, but the average salary isn't one of them.

THey can't do that because the stadium is to capacity, and they can't sell tickets twice. There's no way of figuring out who's sitting where because it's general seating in the student section.

My daughter is a student and said you purchase the tix on either plan a or plan b - if you don't use the ticket you're assessed 1.5 points - get 3 pts and youre disquaified from buying tix next year. Also if you sell the ticket you're assessed a point. In order to not be penalized you may return the ticket to the pool for people on hold to pick up but this must be done before Friday.

So they're making it difficult to farm tickets like we used to do. When I was a student you just purchased all tickets - more of a demand today.

If it is a tiny state, then should be minimal competition for tickets and the butts should be in the seats and not in the SECRant during a game.

You guys have invisible fans? Just asking because a large number of empty seats last night

Huh? Yea the game was boring and I left at halftime, like most people from either side.

I think they cram them into the lower bowl but I agree if that isnt the case.

Makes sense.

People at LSU always say the same thing about our student section. A lot of times it is the first to empty out. I know they can't just take student tickets away, but it sucks for people like stat's friend who wants to buy season tickets and have been on a waiting list for years.

It's not a negative, they are just flaming. I graduated from Alabama, live in Metairie, am rebuilding my house from Isaac, and have a 5 month old. But I will be in that old eyesore in Baton Rouge next week watching Bama drag its nuts across faces.

I had a job cleaning the shitters at Bryant-Denny, so needless to say I've been inside BD plenty of times.

Same here. Wish I had saved ticket stubs and programs from all the games I went to as a kid.

FTR, I've been to all Bama's home games the last 4 years (last night included) plus the game in Pasadena, NOLA, and Dallas. Before that I was living in Hawaii and was lucky if I made it to 1 game a year.

I've been to 139 UA games since 1992. Bama is 104-35 in those games. I've also been to 81 SEC games. UA is 55-26 in those games.
