3 of the top 10 recruits go to IMG Academy with a $78k a year price tag.

How are so many players going there when in the past players who went there later talk about how poor they were growing up.

Is it more of a loan? We know you’re going to make it to the NFL so pay us back in 3 years when you get that signing bonus?

IMG is a sports agency

Free ride now means agency commissions when they go pro

Still not sure how this gets a pass from the NCAA but it does.

Pretty sure it's a scholarship system, private school style but set up a bit differently in how the costs are covered.

I thought that but their website says they don’t offer scholarships.

And it’s amazing how that system is legal by NCAA standards and that they even get to be recognized as a high school.

The amazing thing to me is that they didn't even have a football program until 2013.

IMG originally specialized in tennis and shite like that.

Can't figure it out either.
I guess they call it some hardship scholarship to get above board.
To me, it's no different than the Addidas shoe scandal.
Taking players in with guarantee they sign with certain agency down the line with tuition that is similar to most universities plus room and board and meals, gear, etc.

I'm surprised they find enough high school teams that actually want to play them.
Only loss last year was to Mater Dei CA - glad O is recruiting that school heavily next year with USC down.

My ex-wife went to a private school in Alabama - the same one that produced Rod Grizzard back when she was there and a slew of other 4* and 5* players.

Place has a total enrollment across all 12 grades of 177, yes consistently has some of the best players in the state.

So... yeah.

Central Park Christian? I didn't think they had any students outside of basketball players. I'm surprised that place is still around. It's the definition of a diploma mill.

IMG has been around for years, they only got into football in the last 15-20 years. I'm sure they provide a scholarship program.

Wasn't the coach at CPC also an AAU coach or something like that?

well they don't get to play for Florida state titles, so they're not exactly recognized like a normal high school
