You are getting your panties in a twist over trolling. Everyone I know is thrilled to be in the SEC. All I have heard is respect from Mizzou fans to the SEC. Well except Arkansas.

The days of the Big Eight, SWAC and a 10-team SEC are over. This thing is still heading toward a four super conference world and Missouri brings a ton of positives to the table, both on and off the field of competition. We were a good get. And hey, we're proud and excited to be here, still - even with our Year One stumbles.

No, I am somewhat irritated at the repeated assertions that I am trolling. Its like someone cant have an opinion without being called a troll.
You seem to be pretty reasonable so I wont direct any of my irritation your way.
I don't hate Mizzou and I don't hate their fans. I just wish the ones Ive had contact with wouldn't act like they are too good to keep our company.

You WONT go back to the Big-12, for obvious reasons, and I don't think Bevo would allow if you considered it.

Where is left? The ACC? Pac-12? Both of those are a worse fit for you than I think the SEC is.

Do I think that mid-majors would be the only place you COULD go if you ever left the SEC? Probably, for the reasons stated above.

I have seen a few minutes of three of their games. They were on some random CBS sports channel this week. I missed their comeback against ASU, just watched parts of the first half. Run d actually looked decent.

I am the minority who remember when there were 12 SEC teams and 2 were in LA and 2 were in GA. I have a feeling there are a few ole geauxt's who have similar memories.

OK, I'm with you. And apologies for misinterpreting your mid-major remark.
On your other points...
Prior to joining the SEC I would have said the B1G was a better cultural fit, but that would have been wishful thinking on my part. In truth, Missouri is becoming more Southern by the minute, politically and otherwise. St. Louis has become an island of Northernism trapped in a southern state. So it's only a matter of time.
As far as SEC football goes... When or if Stan Kroenke pulls the Rams out of St. Louis, the Missouri Tigers will be all this side of the state will have left and the transition to full blown SEC will be complete. I know a couple of people who have already diverted their financial allegiances away from the Rams to the Tigers. If the move happens, I imagine there will be considerably more.
Anyway, Missouri isn't as foreign as you think. We're wall to wall with Walmarts, Waffle Houses, sweet tea sippers and A-B beer drinkers and BBQ eaters.
