It's odd that some Aggies are trying to defend Looch making an arse of himself.

Even most Aggies were saying WTF when they kept throwing more money at Jimbo - this is why Looch was defending it.

There are some sensible Aggie grads out there, but at the end of the day, Aggie is gonna Aggie.

$17 million is a financial disaster. But with a national championship and a consideration for best team of all time.

$70 million for a school that hasn’t won….well any conference championships or divisions is comedy.

I think Aggie did win one Big 12 championship somewhere in all that. But so far nothing in SEC.

Why do these schools continue to paint themselves into a corner with these buyouts unless someone is getting kickbacks. CFB needs a DOGE like dept to investigate.

Even worse is A&M didn't learn its lesson after giving Sumlin a dumb extension just a few years prior.

Out of the several high profile coaches A&M has poached in my lifetime only Sherrill worked out until he was also shown the door.

If that program ever gets its crap together (i know) it won't be from money-whipping some coach to leave; it will be another Slocum-type hire i.e. not flashy.

Comparing the financial mismanagement surrounding Eddie Eaux with that surrounding Jimbo is like comparing forgetting to bring your BOGO coupon to Popeyes vs being at fault for a seven car pileup of lawyers.
