Does this 60 year old (at least) tradition bother anyone ?
Personally I LOVE it.
The language belongs to another era.
thats what makes it cool.
It never ocurred to me that some might actually be offended...
I mean if I saw Shepherd Smith or Sean Tuohy what else would I say, right ?
Do other SEC schools have school-specific insults/cheers?
Are these met with good cheer ?

Personally I don't mind it. It's like doing Rammer Jammer and the Gator Chomp, if you have a cheer or something like that then you have to be prepared for others to use it against you.

When I was at Ole Miss in the late 80's/ early 90's the entire student body would shout "Go to Hell LSU" after the national anthem at EVERY game. I don't know if they still do.
ETA: I meant to say national anthem , not prayer.

I have some friends that I worked with when I lived in Memphis that would say Geaux To Hell LSU at the end of the National Anthem at any event. I was at a Memphis Grizzlies game and I heard that chant pretty clear. I thought it was funny.

I've heard it in Death Valley when LSU was playing some non-conference team, right after the national anthem -- "Go to hell Ole Miss."
When I was a kid (mid-70s), I had a purple & gold "Go to Hell Ole Miss" bumper sticker. I never stuck it on anything so I need to find it the next time I'm at my parents.
