It's wrong to me that Arkansas and MSU won't play this season. Guess that comes with the territory of conference expansion.

7 of our conference losses have been by 1 or 2 runs. And our fielding defense has been atrocious. If we can correct that and then win some close games maybe we can climb up in the standings going forward.

Agree. I am not sure what the schedule rationale is. Presumably we will play OM, Bama, LSU every year. But after those three, Arkansas would be our next best baseball rivalry. With 15 potential opponents and three already spoken for, that only leaves 7 series for 12 possible opponents.

Aggies, Arkansas, and Texas all play each other over the next three weekends. That will be a fun little round robin.

That’s one thing that’s overlooked with Dave is his defense generally ranks as the best or at the top of the sec. He has sacrificed hitting for it but this year the defense can hit as well at this point.

Most of our losses have come from sloppy play or terrible base running decisions. Whether it’s the player or Cheese at 3rd making terrible calls for the runners. And that’s not new this year unfortunately.
I’m not sure I’ve seen a team with so many dumb, lazy errors as we’ve had this year. Also, not new this year either.
Lemonis just isn’t a good coach if he doesn’t have a bunch of self starters on his squad and he is incapable of making a well rounded team.

everyone has 2 perm and 8 series against a rotation of the other 13 teams..
no idea why they did that..
5 perm + 5 rotating is a way better solution imo..
