They pulled the Tennessee rabbit out of the hat, lost to LSU in a game that LSU dominated, almost lost to dreadful Florida Atlantic and Vanderbilt teams, and were disgraceful in their losses to FSU, Bama, and Michigan. Why the optimism with a four loss team that could have been easily been a six loss team?

I think the mirage is more because the defense carried all of the load. McElwain is not a defensive guy so the likelihood that UF has that kind of defense diminishes every year they are removed from the Muschamp era. Now the offense should get better with time but can he maintain the defense is the question.

Neither was Spurrier or Meyer, but you hire a good DC and let him do his job. UFs defense was good before Champ got there in case you didnt know.

1st in the East so I can f... off. Give me a break -- you embarrassed the SEC with the FSU and Michigan games, and the SEC East was the weakest it has been in decades.

Bad Qb, new line, lacking depth, new staff.

Ten wins.

I'll take it.

Oh. Sec coach of the year too

Agreed. Florida fans will be calling for McElwain's head when they realize just how bad they will be. Defense will be much worse next year. Offense will be just as terrible next year without Grier.

I don't get what's so funny. Calling Florida for what it was doesn't necessarily imply that LSU was better than good.

LSU took care of business in its bowl game.

Tennessee annhilated a higher ranked Northwestern team in its bowl. Florida got destroyed by Michigan.

The last poll had uf as the lowest ranked 10 win big 5 team, so your original point has already been proven wrong. How you look does in fact matter and uf didn't look good this year. Op is on point.
