Yet another corndog who thinks JJ is totally innocent as he awaits misdemeanor charges for assault.

Please, PLEASE don't every accuse the Gump nation of drinking the koolaide.

It's because that's what had to happen to get the felony charges dropped. He was overcharged from the beginning. His court date is in February I think.

I was under the impression that on the one hand you were making assertions about the OP and circumstances leading it, yet on the other hand hadn't a clue as to the accusers name, much less his criminal background.

Can you point to something in this thread that would contradict that impression?

All I say is just read my comments in the thread. I made the unfortunate error of referring to the former Marine as a Marine, and several here blew a gut.

What is he charged with, or as another poster says, falsely charged with?

It is a misdemeanor assault charge, which is what should have been used in the first place. It became a fricking circus, which is why they charged him with a felony to begin with and pleaded down to a misdemeanor. Frankly, the whole process was a complete joke.

Nothing was pleaded down. The grand jury looked at the evidence and threw out the felony charge. Basically, if a grand jury rejects a charge, it's pretty much bogus.

We'll see, won't we.

After all, it's far from open and shut. E.g., it isn't like he was caught by police with a bag of weed on his person, or criminally hindered an investigation with the police serving as first person witnesses.

Assault is assault (or in y'alls state: battery is battery).

He didn't plea in this case. The Grand Jury returned a true bill for a misdemeanor, not the felony. If he'd pleaded, he wouldn't be going to court.

Jefferson doesn't owe me or anybody an explanation and is not required to show signs of remorse.

No.
You posted like a mouthy moron who did/does not feel the need to work from a basis of fact.

The fact is neither you nor I know whether Jefferson stands falsely accused.

The fact is Lowery is a criminal turned bar bouncer, and coincidental Marine. The fact is that Jefferson has never been in a hint of trouble prior to this occurrence. He comes from a very hard-working quality family, and by background, would stand high in character in comparison to Andrew Lowery. Those are the facts.

I would be surprised to see a guilty verdict rendered vs JJ when all is said and done.

Andrew Lowery is not a good person. That much has been documented. He did deserve what he got that night. An arse beating. Not a kick to the head but it's unlikely JJ was the one who kicked him to the head. So at the end of the day JJ whipped a dude's arse who had it coming. Had his name been John Jefferson it never would've amounted to anything. But his name isnt John Jefferson, so he was a victim of his own fame (relative fame). Which is fine, but to paint him as a thug is really dumb.

eta: And if i was him i wouldnt be remorseful either. He punishment was much worse than it should have been. He paid his dues and then some.

JJ likely didnt kick him. But only a select few know for a fact if that happened. JJ is a victim because he is being prosecuted because of his fame. If Jefferson Jordan got in a fight that night in shady's nothing comes of it.

Really?

You should testify in his defense.

JJ is NOT a victim - puhleeze.

He is being prosecuted for his actions. Nothing more - nothing less. And stupidity.

Don't forget, when WWL called his dad the next morning, his dad said that Jordan told him he wasn't even involved. FWIW.

Move on.

Sometimes the hysteria on the board almost becomes too much. Every now and then I feel like I've wondered into a snake-handler church with a Budweiser Tshirt on.

He most certainly is a victim of the most overcharged bar fight in the history of life.

Imagine if we prosecuted every person that broke curfew. Because right now, that all anyone knows for a fact that Jefferson did.
