ESPN seems to take really looooooooooooooooong commercial breaks. Like so long you feel like you are watching commercials with a game sprinkled in.

Why can't they adopt the NFL model of commercials, maybe more breaks but shorter times each break?

ESPN just seems to run breaks a commercial or two too long.

They’re “only” 3 minutes long but the problem is they will come back from commercial, show the kickoff then go back to commercials. If that stopped that bullshite it would be more tolerable.
I genuinely think ESPN executives cheer when a player is injured

I think its is 3:30 in college...one or two commercials too long.

I think they need to go to 2:30 (5 commercials)/

I like how NFL does some commercials split screen while they are still showing sidelines or Coaches.

CBS feels longer. Yet they seem to not do them as frequently in NFL

I don’t know how true it is, but a guy in TV told me that the NFL games have many more eyes this making the ads more expensive. College ball has less eyes so the ad revenue is less. College will then need to have more commercials because they are trying to increase the ad revenue.

Not sure what he was saying is true, but it made sense at least.

I don’t think NFL is better. Maybe for the prime time games, but 1pm ET NFL games I see more commercials than actual game time.

Because the NFL aggressively defends its product and builds that into their contracts. CFB does the opposite apparently.

Why can't we have NO commercials? 99.9% of them are for stuff I'm not interested in & they add useless time (an hour-long scheduled program is actually ~35 mins. in length).

As much as I can't stand soccer, they somehow manage to only have commercials at halftime.
