Was looking at some of the heisman odds. I know Simpson didn't play much and they a have 5 star who was bumped up from a 3 star after he flipped from smu. Looks like some trouble at the most important spot for bama next year. Anyways here's the heisman odds from fanduel.
Nuss +800 (lsu)
Manning +900 (texas)
Nico +1300 (tennessee)
Sellers +1800 (USCe)
Lagway +2000 (uf)
Mateer +2500 (ou)
Stockton +3300 (uga
Reed +4000
Jackson Arnold (Auburn) +4500
Simpson + 5000 (alabama)

You answered your own question. Simpson has barely played. Russell is a true freshman. Why would either have high odds?
Are you’re going with the conspiracy that every recruiting service overrated Russell? His offer list was just a mirage?

Everyone is overreacting to Bama’s decent. We were 1 spot shy of playing in the playoffs.
DeBoer looked lost at times with Milroe. Truth is, until we look dominate against someone and not barely scraping by we won’t get automatic respect anymore. Everyone knows Saban is long gone.

Ty Simpson ain’t that great
I predict that the freshman Russell from Duncanville will start by the end of the year. I saw him a lot in high school and that guy is different. He’s already in the weight system and practicing

He has elite feel for the game. Very similar to Jaden Daniels. He’s not the same athlete, but the guy understands the position and just naturally finds open receivers.

No.
Bama's situation is equally unproven as some others (Missouri, Ole Miss) but not worse.

Currently, no one (even Bama fans) knows what Alabama's QB is because Simpson only played in limited mop-up duty and the freshman coming in is, well....a true freshman. The kid is supposed to be phenomenal, but there have been a lot who were labeled that coming out of HS who ended up doing nothing, so we'll see.
We may end up being the worst QB room in the SEC or we may not. It's too early to say one way or the other.

I’m talking about Russell not Ty.

Choosing the wrong transfer QB might end up getting Hugh Freeze frigging fired. I didn't think it was possible to roll with a goofier transfer quarterback than Peyton Thorne, but then Jackson Arnold entered the conversation.

No, not hardly. Especially whenever everyone considers that we will see vastly improved quarterback play this year when compared to last year.

Decent would be the word to describe the current state of Alabama's football program, I will agree.

Both Ty and Mack seem at worst serviceable, but who knows. Just haven't seen enough of them in real action.
Russell is frickin legit, and will probably win the Heisman at some point, I just hope its with us.

Acting like the two Bulldogs aren’t in the SEC anymore.

So Bama has:
former 4* Ty Simpson
former 4* Austin Mack
5* freshman Keelon Russell and here you are saying they have the worst QB room in the SEC.
You seem kind of dumb.

I agree. Last year was a wash and DeBoer gets a pass because he literally was hamstrung with Milroe at QB. Most people cannot begin to understand how this guy is NOT a fricking QB at this level. Because of the dynamics DeBoer walked into a sensitive situation regarding the QB position.
It's gone now and he can implement his actual offense and not something from the 95 lbs league.

What's great about Sayin? He couldn't beat out Howard at Ohio State. He's short, barely 6 feet tall and overhyped. I like Austin Mack, the kid that transferred from UW. He played a little bit this year in mop up and had a beautiful TD to Rico Scott in the back of the EZ.
The kid's a legit 6'6" and could be the guy.
I think they'll be fine at QB.
