She's not just talking effort but physicality, trash talk, basically the way the men's game is played.
Let's just say on the boards specific to women's basketball last season, it was said that teams like LSU, South Carolina, Ole Miss, don't play lady like basketball and its too physical and braggadocious. Because of it, they got called all kinds of things including men, she specifically was called egotistical and selfish.
It's why a lot of people who don't follow the sport, don't understand how big that final really was. It was the new way vs. the old way, for a lot of those old WBB fans who didn't want to see South Carolina or LSU win, cheered for Iowa because of "wholesome" Clark and them beating USC and hated LSU and Angel for winning and putting it in their faces. Those types of fans are so far behind that they basically want to see sleeves back on uniforms in WBB by the way they talk.

Well said. It seems like a lot of people on here don’t want to realize just how big of a deal Angel Reese is and how much she is changing the sport. It’s wild really. I just found out today that she just signed a Reeboks NIL deal, the first athlete for them to sign. I feel like I hear something like that about her every week lol This girls on a roll.

have to ask, who is “them”?

Nothing wrong with that statement and women can even play harder as long as they are competing against women. Put them against men and they won’t last and will get physically destroyed

Fame? Expectation of being drafted lower? Fewer endorsement deals?
WBB titles are nice and all but there's more than that out there.

Caitlin Clark figures to have lucrative senior year thanks to her performance in Iowa's run to the 2023 national championship game. On3 values Clark's NIL at $192,000, which is the ninth-highest in women's basketball.

Reese has a name, image and likeness (NIL) valuation of $1.6 million, according to On3, the sixth-highest among all amateur athletes and second to just LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne ($3.2 million) among women. The rising senior at LSU plans to bring those deals with her when she eventually joins the WNBA
You want to try again?

All you have to do is look on sites like The Boneyard or the Cardboard, sites for UConn and Stanford and follow the WBB threads or even Iowa and Va Tech's boards. It happened ALL last year and some of it permeated through to social media, but I'm sure I read it with my own eyes and you're just assuming so, it is what it is.

Are we still regurgitating the line that Angel Reese makes $1.6million playing NCAAW?

The problem with women's sports is that women don't watch women's sports

If you ever play pickleball, you will know that women play as hard as men, particularly in tournaments.

Exactly...and you know why men watch it. Perverts the lot of them ((;-)-)...nobody cares about watching the sport itself.

It is about time the the NBA shares the money equally like they do in Grand Slam tennis tournaments. Cough it up LeBron.

Weird that “feminists” keep making “men” their bar.
It kind of defeats their arguments when you think about it.

Decent HS boy's team could beat the women's NCAA national champion. But the women will certainly try hard.

"Time for the NBA to share..." Besides the NBA League itself subsidizing the WNBA to the extent that money is keeping the League afloat, individual players are putting money up as well. The players just aren't going to make it any kind of 50 / 50 split of revenues. What is odd is that the NBA Commish has said that the average WNBA fan is a middle-aged male. Where are all the feminists / lesbians?
