For me, 2009 was the most special. It was my freshman year and the first year of our run. Also, all of the games were much more exciting since we felt that we could lose any of them. Watching Mark Ingram put the team on his back and win the game against South Carolina will forever be one of the best things I have ever seen at an Alabama football game. Watching the SECCG against Florida was amazing since it was probably the most complete game I had ever watched us play and I felt confident that we were going to beat Texas (ignore what actually happened in the Rose Bowl).
I'm still not sure how I feel about 2011. It was the best team I have ever seen play, but none of the games we played were close save LSU. Also, the fact that it was not undefeated does damper it a little. Still, I will never forget going on my friends balcony and screaming at the top of my lungs when ISU beat OSU to put us in a position to play for the title.
I do feel that this past one year was less special than 2009 because most of the games were foregone conclusions, but I look at it as a part of an unheard of run. From that perspective, it was definitely very special since it solidified our dynasty and cemented this as one of the greatest runs in CFB history.
Overall, I look back much more fondly at the 2009 season than I do the other two. However, I appreciate the success we have had the the past two seasons because they solidified our place in history.

Yes, I do personally fwiw. I grew up rooting for alabama in hard times. My freshman year was fall of 06 and I didn't get to see my team beat LSU or Auburn for 2 years and even witnessed the ulm and Utah loses in person and thrown in a loss at MSu with a 103 int pic 6 courtesy of John park Wilson. I wasn't alive for the previous era known as the "golden age" but I sure as hell am enjoying it now!

Roll Tide my friend, the NCs are what we play for.

Everybody gets on the bandwagon fans for loving the tide doesn't make sense to me. I love PpreciTe just as much even though I didn't really start following them until the 2011 season.

I'm old enough to remember Bear's last on, Stalling's success, and then the dark days so they're all awesome to me.
If I absolutely had to rank them it would be 2009, 2012, 2011. 09 because it marked the end of those dark days and 2012 over 2011 because it was Notre Dame.

I agree with everything you posted man. 2007 was my first year on campus and comparing that to our 09 season was night and day. Having the opportunity to fly out to Los Angeles and see us beat Texas in the Rose Bowl with all of my close college buddies was a trip of a lifetime. 09 was definitely the most special to me as well.

Nebraska in the 90s ring a bell?
As has been mentioned before, Nebraska's '97 title was split. The last time a team won 3 outright titles in 4 years was Notre Dame under Frank Leahy from 1946-1949. So yeah...this little run we went on from '09-'12 was pretty unique.

Boring is not the right word. You're always obviously very happy and excited to win an NC. But I'm talking about that elation that has you walking on clouds for awhile. That definitely dissipated for me with those later titles in the 5 in 10 run for LSU baseball.
'09 - we experienced our first Heisman winner and beat Texas for the first time in forever -
'11 we thought we were completely out of it after the OT loss to you guys, then to see both Bama/LSU go at it again was great and to have the team post the first shut-out in the BCSNC game was icing on the cake -
'12 to experience Bama/NDame, two of the most storied programs in college football was great as well.
I will say that we have been spoiled by Saban. He harps on "expectations" and how we fans need to temper them, etc. But, it's his own damn fault that the fanbase expects so much - he's the one that put this program where it is, and he's just going to have to deal with fans that expect a dominating performance from the team.

Being almost 31 years old and having been drug through the post Stallings era.... now that we have Saban? I can give you an EMPHATIC "YES!"
Anyone may go through the "we're winning so much it's boring" phase, but I proverbially "pinch" myself ALL the time.. CAN NOT BELIEVE what is happening. And time is FLYING... and that one fact alone makes me hold on to it harder because Saban is only going to coach for X amount more years. If this many years have ALREADY passed... it'll be over before we know it.
ROLL TIDE!

I very much appreciate the success. Honestly never imagined it would happen again to this extent, anything more is just gravy.
Specifically to this season, the fact that Bama played and beat ND for the National Title made this Title my favorite of the last three.
If I was asked in the '90's, "which teams would you like to play for the National Title?". I would have answered, ND, Texas and USC/OK in that order.
I can't really ask for anything else, it has been perfect.

I do appreciate all the success, but to me this last title didn't have the same excrement. That was partly due to the fact that our defense shut down ND and our offense did whatever they wanted. I was at the game this year, and the hype surrounding the game actually better than the actual game. If they had put up more of a fight, then I think winning the title would have been better.

I appreciate what Nick Saban has done......best coach and mentor I've ever seen. You have to appreciate what he does with these immature 18 year old kids.

It's more impressive imo. Nebraska didn't have to play Penn St in 94 and lucked out with a share of the title in 97 because Osborne was retiring.
I like this dude, he has no hate to his game. I guess game recognizes game
At the same time, Alabama has lacked the completely dominant team that great teams from the past have...
Miami from '00 - '02 had star power across the board...
Maybe its just the way Saban builds his teams...

ummmmm, Alabama has plenty of "star power"

on D they do...and at RB
Julio Jones is a good NFL WR...
I haven't really been sold on the Alabama QBs...
Just saying Miami '01 was stacked across the board, on defense AND offense...even at TE
Alabama just hasn't had that team that blows the doors off of everyone...

LSU has never won 2 out of 3 NCs in baseball, don't get the comparison.
