Had to dig deep for that. lol. That’s the reason Butch Jones is no longer at UT. Nice to dig up something from almost 7 years ago. 79-33-5 is what it looks like when Vandy gets slammed every year. Vandy has only beat UT 6 times in football since I been alive(1983).

Fair enough, I'm not an Alabama fan, so whatever.
Sounds like a group from Alabama paid a Tennessee yokel to do the work for them and then made a fortune with it. And you're bragging about it.
That's also the problem with country, no one does their own work. It's a lazy, low-IQ catering genre.
So my statement can be amended to say a group named ALABAMA made the song famous. And not some yokel from the holler.

My signing about how great Tennessee is. This song is about Tennessee, but yet Bama plays it after its home football games.

You’re just like the rest of the bandwagon toothless frickers in Alabama.

I was referring to the band, you stupid hillbilly.

I think it mentions something about a tennessee night in there, so I would say you have equal rights to the song, just imho
It’s a song written by a Tennessean, that mentions Tennessee multiple times and is romanticizing a Saturday night in Tennessee. There’s no equal rights, we simply took back what belongs to us.
The fact that bama ever used it in the first place is a testament to how mentally handicapped bammers are as a whole.

What does that say about y'all since it took you 16 years to finally get a win?

Is this mentioned in your commemorative book celebrating an 11-2 season when you got rocked by an 8-5 S. Carolina team?

never understood why bama song it anyways since it has more to do with Tenneesee, never mentions alabama in the song. But that is gump logic for you
Always took it to be about a good old Alabama boy getting his paycheck and heading over the Tennessee line and buying a Tennessee hooker. He's assuming he couldn't be prosecuted if caught if he could get back to Alabama after the service was rendered complete.

Not sure what the argument is about here.... Alabama also had a hit song called "If You're Gonna Play in Texas, You Gotta Have a Fiddle In the Band". It never mentions a thing about the state of Alabama.
Heck, Willie Nelson sang "Georgia on my Mind" and he wasn't from Georgia. They sing, make a big hit and a big truck load of money. You think they care what state they're singing about?
