One of the biggest reasons Oats isn't going anywhere is his daughters. s just started at Bama, and the middle one is just starting high school. He has no intention of moving them right now (I'd suspect unless the NBA came calling or something).
My guess is somebody told a Kentucky fan that it was because of family, and the UK internets ran with it. Now it's a divorce and a custody battle.

I have no verifiable source but the Oats separation stuff has been out there for months. Even before the season. Maybe it didn’t happen, maybe they got back together. He still wears a wedding ring, that I can verify.

Yes yes he is going through a divorce. They’ve been hiding it for a couple well actually several years! He’s got his own house and she’s got hers. Not sure why she gets to have a company vehicle and things being paid through the college doesn’t he make enough to take care of her needs.
