Bro isn't the one saying the target is Schloss - he's actually been reasonable for a steer fan. It's bigbopper that is being a horse's arse.

Might as well eliminate Vitello. An extension has been signed that will be announced after the CWS is over.

I agree. It’s a coach still coaching. Enjoy Nolan Cain.

I said I was done in this thread but omg people. Why are we still arguing about this? It'll happen or it won't. Why fight about it.? I still feel very confident in my bet that he's not coming. There's just simply no reason to leave Aggy with what he's building. Yeah, we have the history but if that's all that mattered, sark would be coaching Bama right now.
Still say bopper is full of shite but let it play out. Few more days we'll know.

The ONLY reason, and I mean only he would come would be because of his relationship with CDC...but I just don't see that being enough to leave. I would think building a dynasty would be more interesting than following two legends somewhere else.

Exactly! Upgrading facilities is an insurmountable challenge that no school has ever overcome.

slow day at work ... which is why I'm still perusing this thread. I think it has been hashed out to every possible scenario at this point.

Exactly. If I were an Ag I wouldn't be worried at all. I can't blame us for trying to get him. He's a great coach. I just think pigs are more likely to fly than Schloss leaving what he's building.

Facilities can't be renovated? Changed? Torn down?

Texas could easily tear down DF and play in Round Rock for a year while a new stadium is being built. Idk that it would happen, but it's possible.

Texas and Texas A&M both have money. That won't be a factor.

One of your “reasons” was that Schloss isn’t satisfied with the pace of our progress in facilities, which are immeasurably nicer than yours in every way

He wasn't satisfied at the start of the year. However, he has an 80M commitment as of about a month ago. He even has an end date ...

1) Maybe Schloss likes working for CDC more than Trev Alberts, his new boss
2) Maybe Schloss likes Austin more than College Station

You could be on to something here...

This thread delivers.

Makes me keep thinking about the line from Shawshank about hope killing a man.

This.

The big question in my mind … Max Weiner.

If he doesn’t land a head coaching job, I could see him being snagged and made HCIW by a program whose current coach is looking to retire imminently.
