This is the not the Big 12 Rant, dumb arse.

It seems early for both. Hunter I think has a better case. Sanders should probably get the honor too, but in a few years.

I mean both these players resurrected a pretty dead Colorado program and were the face of the new Deion era swagger and push for excellence. I think not only statistically but symbolically these two players were historic for the program. I mean Colorado is a fairly big brand nowadays with a significant chunk of out of state fans.
The Buffs have gone 13-12 the two years with Sanders with the highlight being a 9-4 season, a very lopsided loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl, and a #23 final ranking.
Mike McIntyre accomplished more in 2016.
I guess I don't really care that college football has basically turned into the Kardashians. I do get to hate out the folks that view this as a great thing and try to justify the hype.

Even from an Aggie, this is embarrassing.

Rashaam Salaam. Kordell Stewart. Michael Westbrook.

Well, Rashaan is now residing in the afterlife so hopefully he doesn't care all that much.

Please tell me how many schools have the jersey of "the best QB in school history" retired that didn't either lead them to a championship or win the Heisman. It's 100% being retired because of Deion...and that's pathetic.
It's striking how frequently nepotism is brushed aside when white individuals benefit from it. Yet, the moment a Black person takes advantage of the same privilege, a chorus of complaints emerges almost immediately. Why the double standard?

How many white Head coaches sons have jerseys retired at the school their dad coached at?
I can't think of any in college....

How many of those coaches kids were good enough to even be considered? How many coaches kids actually deserve a roster spot but yet they find their way onto it (nepotism). The coach-son combo is rare in college and it’s even more rare to have a son that is the best at the position in a schools history like Shedeur.

Sanders is the best QB statistically
They are retiring the number of a QB that never beat a single ranked team.
Embarrassing.

He certainly wasn’t the best in CU’s history. He might have had some stats, but he was not a leader and damn sure didn’t win like others had done before him.

Because Black Privilege is alive and well and we are sick of it. Just look at that hoodlum in Texas who murdered the white kid and looks to be getting off easy.

Oh, you’re one of those people.
This isn’t about race, Deion Sanders would be a shite human being if he was purple.

They should at least wait a few years, I mean they literally just left campus, they havent even been drafted yet.Isn't this something you are supposed to do like ten years later?

This is all just an extension of the participation trophy era of society. Where real accomplishments are constantly diminished in order to try and turn every modern moment into some great event.
I could probably rant all day with all the things in society that are like this now.
