Any team is one play or hit from winning or losing every year. To me pitching and depth of pitching is the biggest factor.

Pitching is so important. Reminds me of MSU’s year with Will Bednar. Class act. I hear he’s pitching in the Majors now.

I can’t get into cricket or even bother to learn how it’s played. I saw something talking about how popular it is outside the US. Couldn’t get into watching it. Maybe one day I’ll read the rules to that game.

Cricket at a high level interesting when it comes to strategy. The functions in the game are dry without it.

Why do teams not try to steal on UVA's catcher?

He's the best catcher in the country.

Random Catcher fun fact, our catcher Max was(is) this year’s youngest player in all college baseball.
For a 17 year old, he had big hits in the Regional.

Great pitching this CWS...bats have been quiet the whole time.

Omaha is always this way
Partly because a deep pitching staff is needed to get you there and partly because the park is favorable to pitchers

Bednar still my Omaha favorite pitcher.

IF, your team can create a winning TRADITION...one with championships/competing for national power status on a regular basis...baseball can be quite entertaining...otherwise, as is the case with bama...NOT SO MUCH...lol

Always has a knee on the ground, even with a runner on. That's not going to be very fast for a release. Maybe the ACC just sucks at baseball like they do football.
