Thanks for proving my assessment of "Auburn - Loudmouth Yahoos"

Penn State - Proud of their team and tradition.
Way too proud. Not a large sample size but I was pretty disappointed in the few fans I met. I was at a bar and the bartender was a Penn st fan as was her bf and some of his friends, they were sitting at the bar(both in 20s maybe early thirties). This was somewhere between 2011-2013. A retiree finishing golfing grabbing an afternoon beer made a Sandusky joke(absolute fire one) and the 20ish year old Penn st fan instantly got in his face backing him into a corner threatening to smash his face in over it.

USC Jr:
Years ago, say 25, they were very nice and hospitable.
20 years into the future, about 2019, I have NEVER been elbowed, pushed out of my bench seat, or punched in the ribs so many times in one game. Ever since Spurrier put them on a map, they have been rude, obnoxious, and arrogant. Will never go to Columbia for a game again!
UGA:
Just plain butthead. Think they're better than everyone else. Your day is coming.
KY:
Pricks!
As for the rest. No beefs, yets.
Go Vols

They played GT in the Gator Bowl some years back and the GT band members swore that WVU fans took a shite in their seating area.

UGA fans are great before the game I have found but if they do not win, they do not take it well is my experience.
UT(Vols) fans very hit or miss. Now with desperation trying to stay relevant I would say they have gotten worse over the years.
Ole Miss they seemed to just be there. More about the pregame then the game itself.
Vandy is like going to a UNC game. Both fan bases really never show much excitement. The students get into the game but the majority of those attending are just there.
UK they were good and were very nice.
LSU great pregame and some of the nicest people I have met before the game. Depending on the outcome they have some that can change colors really quick afterwards.
UF many have already hit it on the nose.
Ark & MSU both were good experiences.
AU fans are just something else to me and I am not from the state. But my experience is only the Iron Bowl and rivalries are a different animal. Nice campus though.
USC one game and it was the year they beat us in 2010. It felt like a warzone. I have never felt threatened after a game like that. They won the game and I have never seen so many opposing fans looking to fight us.
Outside of the conference.
ACC games are different. VT is a lot of fun and their fans get up for it as well as NCSU fans.
UNC, Duke, and UVA just show up and leave it seems. Nothing special.
Maryland hit or miss
Clemson their fans are just delusional and now Dabo has them acting like its a cult. They want to be a blue blood so bad but nowhere close to it.
SoCal I had a lot of fun there at games I have attended but it is nowhere like the SEC especially pregame.
UCLA just there
Cal and Stanford if good seasons their fans will get behind them. I found Stanford students really support the team.
Some of the smaller schools but great for games are App State, ECU, and SDSU. Pregame, during game, and post game they match the SEC in many ways. Very passionate fans and alum.
Arizona State though has the best girls I have seen at a game overall.

Worst:
1. Clemson - Deluded, cult fanbase that think Clemson is the most special place on earth. frick them.
2. UCF - Obnoxious Guido contingent fanbase. Extremely confrontational on our trip there in 2013.
3. UGA - Athens is great. A lot of UGA fans are a lot of fun. However, some of their sidewalk fans ruin the experience. Had multiple instances of grown men in adult UGA jerseys aggressively barking in the face of SC fans.
4. Ohio State - Even as a young kid I remember their fans being assholes at the Outback bowls.
5. Tennessee - Too many overweight dickheads.
Best:
1. Texas A&M - They catch a lot of shite on the Rant, but their fans were by the far the most welcoming group of people. Great folks down in College Station.
2. LSU - A lot of trash talk from LSU fans, but honestly if you can just roll with the punches then they are the most fun group of people to tailgate with. Had a blast there in 2012.
3. Auburn - Similar to A&M fans, they were just extremely welcoming and seemed like good people. Crowd was loud on our visit in 2010.
4. Iowa - They beat the shite out of us in the Outback Bowl. But their fans were great.

Most fan bases that have interacted with wv fans have this same sentiment. Anyone ive talked to that’s been to a game in Morgantown all day it’s by a wide margin the most hostile fanbase

Wva fans basically live the life tenner fans sing about in rocky top

West Virginia in 2014 at the Georgia Dome - WVU fans were dickheads, pretty much assured me I'll never go to Morgantown.
LSU in 2014 (OT win) - LSU fans were cool. I stayed with my buddy who lives in BR, great tailgating, great food, some shite talkers but that's everywhere.
South Carolina in 2019 - Again, really nice fans. Sandstorm played in my head for weeks after. Shoutout to 5 Points in Columbia, cool bar strip. There were a TON of Clemson fans out that night to shite talk Bama fans which I found very odd.

The most beautiful female fan base goes to Texas and it's not even close.
When I was on the Austin campus, I was shocked by how many girls I saw dressed like lumberjacks (with short/shaved hair) and by how many of the "girls" weren't really girls. But, if you find that attractive, who am I to judge?

So, worse than poisoning 100+ year old oak trees, teabagging opposing fans who pass out, and murdering their own family members after a loss? Dang, they must be awful.

I've seen Clemson fans at UGA/USC games. They are so fricking weird.

They are the complete opposite of every other fan base. If you win in Columbia, it is a normal experience. If they win, put the jacket over your head, duck and get back to the car.

It seems like UGA always played them at noon though.

I always enjoy reading these "fan" description threads even though they are somewhat silly.
Most fans of most teams consist of 20-50ish alums and then the rest are T shirt and townie types at home games. Away crowds and bowl crowds are the alum group.
So much of what an individual fan experiences in this huge mass of humanity depends on the people you encounter.
And in general, you are more likely to get the t-shirt/townie encounters in a larger city as opposed to a college town.
