Impressive, aside from Boise, Clemson, Notre Dame, and FSU. All cupcake schedules do not impress me.

I would argue that it’s more than those four with cupcake schedules.

Maybe if we're talking last 10 years, but 25 years of success is a long arse time in college football. Miami lived, dominated, and died in a shorter amount of time and there was pretty much nothing stopping them by 2002

LSU would be number 1 if they'd give us back our 40 wins they took away.

Actually 37:

James Alexander received $180,000 from LSU booster John Paul Funes while Alexander's son played for the Tigers, per The Baton Rouge Advocate.

The money Alexander received had been stolen from the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation, part of a children's hospital in Baton Rouge. Funes was in charge of the foundation and admitted he embezzled $550,000 of its funds.

Alexander — who went on to become a seventh-round pick of the Raiders in 2016 — was retroactively ruled ineligible because of these impermissible benefits. As a result, all wins accrued by LSU during Alexander's time on the team were vacated.

Officially, the most expensive 7th-round draft pick the Cajuns ever produced down on the bayou.

I would argue that they should have vacated the losses, as well. How are you eligible for one outcome, but not the other?

While I'm happy that my team made this list, and there are certainly some good and not-as-good teams represented here, "total wins" since an arbitrary date is the exact same concept as determining a playoff contender based on their overall record.

Yale is tied for 7th all-time in wins.

Wittenberg is 19th, one spot ahead of Auburn.

Without additional context such as SOS, conference affiliations, true/hostile road games played per year, bowl tie-ins, etc., this is a fun but completely meaningless quantitative comparison.

RE: vacated wins

1. Ohio State- 289 (12)
2. Alabama- 282 (21)
3. LSU- 280 (37)

ETA: N/m sounds like vacated wins are already included

If you had told me Michigan was top 10 in wins I would have been very surprised.

Oregon & Wisconsin ahead of Texas is surprising considering how weak the Big12 has been for the last 25 years.
Not a good look for a school that promotes themselves as a Blue Blood.

They need to reinstate all wins from teams that were punished for doing something that is now legal.
