Coach Kirby Smart and Sonny Smart Holtville / Slapout Alabama

Kirby was born in Montgomery when his dad coached at Holtville. Coach Sonny was a really good baseball coach as well.

Have good memories of playing in several softball tournaments in Slapout when I was stationed in Montgomery back in the nineties...

I'm from S. Georgia but now Live in Wetumpka and think of that Every time I drive by that old School. His Mom taught school there as well.

We live in middle Georgia now but I was stationed at Gunter AFB for 8 years in the 90’s; we lived in Wetumpka then and we loved it there. Do they still do Christmas on the Coosa every year during the holidays?

We drove all the way down from Peachtree City thinking we could hike the crater before learning it's not a state park and most of it is private property.
The state dropped the ball on that one.
